normal ba sa ito on all BAYAN DYNAMIC Residential Plans na matagal nakakabalik yung net (2-3mins) pag nag OUT OF SYNC yung Modem at naka router ka???

pag nag out of sync yung modem (DSL light is blinking) then papabayaan mo lang siya... medyo natatagalan bumalik yung net... mga around 2-3mins after nag STEADY yung DSL light...

NORMAL BA YAN???

sa COMMERCIAL STATIC plans kasi sa napapansin ko (based on experience) pag nag out of sync yung modem (DSL light blinking) it only takes around 1 second before bumabalik ang internet after mag STEADY yung DSL light...

i have conducted several test...

RESIDENTIAL DYNAMIC Plan

MODEM = huawei
ROUTER = tplink tl-wr340g

scenario 1
- ROUTER is OFF and MODEM is OFF
- turn ON both
- wait for DSL light so steady
* if steady start timing...

RESULT = less than 5 seconds meron nang internet

scenario 2

- ROUTER is ON and MODEM is ON
- unplug the telephone wire to the modem to simulate a DC
- DSL light is blinking
- wait for DSL light so steady
* if steady start timing...

RESULT = 2mins and 20secs before bumabalik yung internet

i have my modem set to router mode... (this adsl2+ modem can support heavy usage cause it has reasonable power of CPU and RAM)

-- smart PPPoE sense ... if PPPoE session lost.. it reconnects immediately ... (less than 3second)
-- it doesnt disconnect even if you're SOD session is finish... (my IP is still the same... lol .. only the speed is change)

^nag co-conduct ata sya nang test about the disconnection nang internet nya.. and gaanu ito kabilis bago bumalik..

Residential Lines - use dynamic ip. Only Business plan can only have static IP.

Modem ko naman is huawei set to router mode..

sa ZTE modem naman pag naka router mode ehh.. matagal bagu mag connect.. minsan indi na sya nag rereconect.. ikaw na mismo mag coconnect. or patay tapus buhay mo uli yung modem.. which is totally eww for me.

yung router ko naka switch mode na lang sya... but naka enable pa rin yung DHCP nya... nilagay ko lang yung IP nang DNS ko which is 192.168.1.1 (which is the modems IP address) and yung ibang IP address ehh yung router na bahala.. so far so good..

kakatest ko lang sir... at based on 5 trials... TOTOO yung sinabi mo...

yung pinaka madalas is yung madali daw uminit
at yung habang tumatagal naka on bumabagal daw yung speed

i think related lahat ng issues to heat... which is easily fixed by placing the modem on a well ventilated area or tutukan ng small electric fan...

iba yung narinig/nabasa ko... bayan replace the Huawei with ZTE kasi MAS MURA daw yung ZTE compared sa Huawei... bale BAYAN is cutting on expenses... kaya they are now issuing ZTE to customers...
i hope they will provide better modems to their customers...

I don't understand why many would actually use a PC, modem or any computing device, WITHOUT AVRs. It is always a standard that when one owns a PC there should at least be an AVR. These devices are not designed to withstand fluctuations. Nice observation although I would say this is moot and academic. In fact PCs without AVRs are known to wear down faster compared to those with AVRs or UPSes. I think it is the same with modems and routers. At least at the very on set I had the connection, all my computing devices were always connected to an AVR at the very least.

As for Huawei modems, perhaps each and everyone of us have different experiences with it. I tried a Huawei modem before and it only brought me problems. There are some Huawei modems that I have tried that did do an excellent job. I think it is more or less how the person uses it. Although this doesn't disclose the fact that there are some modems that are really defective at the very onset. It is really hard to generalize which one is better.

In you case narmenia, I think the problem you have with ZTE is with the fluctuation. Albeit, it is only moot and academic that the ZTE modem should have been connected to an AVR or UPS at the very onset. Still we cannot fault the modem for it since it is generally accepted that modems and other computing devices in general are very susceptible to power fluctuations.
