Well, just look at the pic. And I'm Using SOD At 2:45 AM. Before I Used To Get 1240 kb/s, Ping shows OK, 26 ms, so I guess theres no problem in my Physical Lines. Darn...

Ok. Just for sharing... Not for asking help. Your fellow forumers will appreciate the feedback.

Well... Personally, I do not encourage the use of residential lines for business purposes (in reference to the Manager of the Coffee Shop telling you they are using a Plan 1699). It almost the same as cheating.

If you need help, then by all means post your account number so that the Bayan Moderators can check your account and do the necessary follow up.

By the way, it is in the rules: If you post a concern regarding the DSL, you are REQUIRED to post your account number. And since you are posting an issue with the DSL, you are required to comply. Please read the rules. Thank you.

Im not using my connection for Internet shop or something. Im using it on our surveillance system for our shop. so i really dont need that kind of Plan, i just use this to monitor our shop even when im at home.

Anyway, Ive done tweaking as of today. My friend Who is an IT Helped me out. He said that i can try something that Tech wont tell or teach you. I've opened the Homepage of HUAWEI Smartax MT880 Modem (Issued By Bayantel) And configured some settings. And here is my result for download transfer rate.

If you can see, My Transfer rate changed from 76kb/sec to 112 kb/sec and im downloading it from hotfile.com and at the same time downloading from deposit files. You wont be getting that speed if you're only a free user.
I changed som settings on the Modem As They are the default settings of Bayantel, And i saw some configurations that "Limits" your speed.

Thanks
Anyway

My comment about the use of a residential line was not in reference to you. It was in reference to your example when you ask the manager of the computer shop what plan is he on. Please read my post again. Thank you.

That is what you call modem tampering. And if something happens to your modem and BayanDSL finds out you changed the settings in the modem, you
might be charged for the value of the modem, in case it needs to be replaced. We do not allow its discussion in the Forum.

Bottom line still: Next time you post about a concern with the DSL, please observe and follow the rules as you are a part of the community. You are required to post your account number. We are old enough and mature enough to follow rules right?

Your friend is right. Such stuff is not taught to most people since most people are not that technically savvy. It can cause more problems than do them good. But changing the settings in the modem alone will not speed up your connection. It will just enhance it.

I only use the BayanDSL modem as a back up modem. Instead I use a commercially branded modem. That way, I can play around with the settings considering that the modem provided by Bayan is very basic. It will do for most people but not for some.
