at last may telepono at internet na!! - ninakaw kasi yung kable ng telepono namin kaninang alas dos ng madaling araw. nahuli naman yung isa sa nagnakaw.
but here's the catch, after ive made a report about what happened, i asked bayantel if they have a group that would investigate this type of situation and they said, "sasabihin na lang namin sa kanila." what was that about?
i can provide them a copy of the picture of the suspect, the police blotter in which names and addresses of the suspect were indicated, info's gathered that dawn, and my full cooperation regarding this.
and that's it, ganun lang kasimple ang sagot nila, at tipong wala pa silang pakialam.
ganito ba talaga kayo?
nakakainis, nakakairita, nakakawalang-gana, nakakawalang respeto sa mga ganitong klase ng tao.
after 14 years being a bayantel subscriber, this is the biggest disappointment!

brgy holy spirit..
kinda odd lang kasi for the longest time, this year lang nangyari yan and twice na.

The process is not that simple especially if it involves the government already. I know Bayan for their part has done their part. Again, it boils down to the law enforcers in your area. I remember one situation in our street where uso ang illegal connections para sa kuryente. Ang kawawa kami since yung transformer laging nag o-overload. So we decided, since Meralco has filed charges already, we also did our own neighborhood watch. Ever since then, wala ng nag attempt mag kabit ng illegal na connection sa street namin.
In cases like this, you cannot totally put all the work with the company concerned specially if it has something to do with security. I cannot help but feel sometimes that our government and law enforcing agencies are not doing their part. Because if they do, we won't even be experiencing these problems.

its hard to argue against you since youre more experienced in cases like this pero sana tayo dito sa forums with your help and of course, bayan, to do something para kahit papaano may magawa against this type of persons/actions. the government, well, malabo kung aasa tayo sa kanila since most people know what the government does, or shall i say doesnt.
how about we, here, post pictures of these "magnanakaw" to inform everyone in the forum/internet to be careful or observant to minimize such cases. (meron ba nun dito?) i know its kind of harsh, knowing their future depends on it especially to those persons na gustong magbagong-buhay at sa mga minors pero kailangan minimum tolerance tayo sa ganitong mga tao. sa tingin ko hindi natin sinisira ang kanilang hinaharap dahil sila ang gumagawa ng paraan para sirain ang kanilang hinaharap.
so what do you think sir mikos, is it worth it to post pictures here or just say "no" because its too much?

so what do you think sir mikos, is it worth it to post pictures here or just say "no" because its too much? I welcome the idea of cooperation and doing our part. It is not really NOT relying on the government. It is more of doing what we can do as concerned citizens. Righteous vigilance entails that we do what is within the bounds of the law (like our neighborhood watch to prevent the illegal connections in our street, of course with documentation since we were able to catch some of them with our neighbor's celphone pics and videos of these people doing the act itself). That alone was enough proof for those people to be charged.
For the posting of pictures, legally speaking, this is not a good idea just yet. Remember, crooks have their own rights. While they are the ones who brought us the problem, it doesn't give us the right either to bypass their rights even if we really disdain them and would rather burn them alive. Unless they are convicted beyond reasonable doubt within a court, and unless caught red handed with the picture clearly depicting them to be in the act of doing the crime, we cannot post their pictures. Just posting their pictures per se (like just a mere face pic) will violate the law. Only when it is clear in the picture they are committing the crime that I think the picture can be posted to serve as a warning to other people.
The best that I can suggest is for the affected people to come up together. It would be nice if Bayan can do an awareness campaign among its affected subscribers in the area and open the eyes of the people within the area. Such grass roots campaign can be done and the help of the people in reporting cases of telephone cable theft to the authorities can be strengthened. I suggest you email Bayan the suggestion that way they become aware also of such suggestions.
