actually... IMO lang...

meron pong difference yung 121 with other ip block ng bayan...

na try ko na sa STATIC ko na naka 203 block...

i tried to do a tracert to a specific group of 121 ip blocks (that is assigned to a BAYAN customer) from a GLOBE connection... and the HOPS does not go outside the country...

pero when i tried to do the same sa 203 block ko... pumunta pa ng JAPAN yung HOP...

THATS a HUGE difference IMO lang po...

Still how do you explain the same experience that I get with both IP blocks? Like I said, we all have varying experiences. It is really hard to pin point where the problem is. Buti sana kung consistent. I am currently on the 110 block right now pero I still can do what I need to do with the internet.

But like I said, this is based on my experience. Whether you guys take or it or not, it is beyond me.

That is true, there will be differences with regards to other IP blocks. Pwede kasing these Ip blocks A-B are already "trusted/allowed" to pass through certain interconnection/peering (sample Bayan to Globe or vice versa). Although blocks A to B were already added to Bayan side including the other blocks upto Z, it maybe possible that only A-B blocks are allowed in Globe side. The result, since you are not allowed to pass thru local peering, then you will have to go international which will add more hops and latency to your connection. Other factor that may affect is that although local peering was in placed, bandwidth (for that peering) has been fully utilized although that is a very remote possibility since most ISP acquire Gig of bwidth.
Ideally, there should be no differences in different Ip blocks (in the same package). Of course, Ip block of residential is different from block of corporate because they are routed differently including the international pipe they were passing thru.

I agree na mahirap talagang ma pin point kung ano ang problem kapag ganito. hehehe :)

I was also thinking of this. One reason why in another thread, I even posted that if and when I get into main stream online games, I might consider migrating from Residential to a Business Line for the static IP, due to the restrictions being applied on accessing servers as you have illustrated above.

Eto lang napansin ko guys this last last 2 weeks.

Non sod time (10AM to 10 PM), I always get 110 block ip add
SOD time (10 PM to 10 AM), I always get 121 block ip add

As far as I know, random ung pag bigay nung IP. Di ko sure kung coincidence lang nangyyari sakin.

On my case, I can say that 121 is better that 110 during OL games

Random ang pagbigay ng IP address sa Residential. You can try by connecting and reconnecting but there is no guarantee you will get a 121 IP address. If you get one, chamba mo.

Yes, I do experience the same thing. I notice significantly lower latency sa online game na nilalaro namin - nasa Canada ang server -
during SOD time.

Right now I am under the 110 block and the game is not playable, unless of course you are a fan of stop-motion. @Sir Mikos tanong ko lang po, kung random po ang pagbibigay ng IP how come mas often 110 makukuha kesa 121? Kasi I am under the impression that the 121 IP block is reserved or something. Papa-static IP nalang ako?

Thanks.

Random ang pag bigay ng IP. It just so happens that when you connect, it is the 110 block that is available.

I agree po, BRAS will be the one who will give/assign an ip address once you successfully connected to the server. Also, hindi lang isa ang BRAS, marami yun and for sure located sya strategically. Also, it is possible that some ip blocks were assigned per location (base in BRAS they are connecting). Also, sympre iba iba rin ang sizes/numbers of ip blocks na nakaallot per BRAS, karaniwan it depends or proportional on how many subscribers ang nandon pero syempre may buffer yun :)

Are you experiencing slow speeds in general? Or is just the lag? What speed do you get from www.speedtest.net? Did you happen to check what IP address were given to you? This thread is about the 121 and 110 IP blocks and the observations of people. If your problem is not related to the IP blocks mentioed, you can start your own thread. Thank you. Angel
