plan 899 .. Kindly please post your account number. Post also your set up (if you are using a router or direct PC to modem connection). What speed are you also getting from www.speedtest.net with Quezon City as the test server? Have you reported this to the technical support hot line?
Please read the rules. Thank you.

hitmanshin wrote:actually nakalimutan ko ung accnt number .. pde ung accnt nlng?.. *********** phone -> modem -> PC You can get that from your Bayan Phone/DSL bill. You can also call technical support and get it from them. While you do that, you can also report it to them that you are having problems with your connection speed. For Plan 899 though, you are within the speed of your Plan (384 - 768kbps) based on the speed test result you posted since you are getting roughly 686 kbps. Is this only with one specific site? Or with all sites?

What programs are running in your PC when it is running? This is something that you might want to check also since you are getting the correct speed when you test it. Some programs in our computer can affect the way our PC handles the connection, as well as how our browsers load pages (main reason also why browsers can be tweaked to make them more efficient). I am not saying though that there is no problem on the line. I am not discounting that possibility. I am however also considering the other part of it. Slow speeds as we would call it in technical parlance always has two aspects: 1) ISP side and 2) PC side. Both have to be checked specially if you are getting the correct speed.
Have you reported this to the technical support hotline? What was their feedback?

i DL at megaupload .. i turn off the DLManagers before i test my speed. no other windows open except the speedtest.net. does the connection have to do with the phone? because the phone that Bayantel gives us had broken down, so im using an alternative one.

Based on your post, are you referring to the phone handset? Because if it is, then chances are it should not have anything to do with the Connection. Do you hear any humming sound or noise in the phone line, other done the dial tone? And also, what is your set up? Do you have a router? Or just the modem connected directly to the PC? You will need to report this to the hotline. Otherwise we won't be able to make any follow ups.hitmanshin wrote:i DL at megaupload .. i turn off the DLManagers before i test my speed. no other windows open except the speedtest.net. does the connection have to do with the phone? because the phone that Bayantel gives us had broken down, so im using an alternative one.

Possible phone line problem. Kindly report this to the customer support hotline (171) and advise them that you have static in the phone line or you are hearing a buzzing sound in the phone line. Aayusin muna ito ng phone technician before the DSL technicians can see what is wrong with your DSL line.
By the way, have you tried connecting the phone unit directly into the phone jack (meaning without the filter)? This is just to check if this is a problem with the filter. If it is the same, then you have to report this to the customer support hotline.hitmanshin wrote:the phone is buzzing, i cant even hear the dial tone..
