Hi, just had my Bayan DSL connected today. Getting okay speed. My question is about the SOD every 10 PM - 10 AM. From what I learned while browsing the forums, SOD is automatically set during those hours and all I had to do is add @sod after my username. However, whenever I do so, I get disconnected. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Better report this to the technical support hot line (411 2000 if you are in Manila, 181 if you are in the province). They will need to check this on their servers. Do post your account number and advise us here if you have reported it already so we could follow it up. Thanks.

Alright. I'll see if it's a problem on my end as well. Seems like my NIC keeps getting disconnected for some reason. Just to clarify, though. It's still username@sod, right?

Yes....

Sample:

Username: Mikos
With @sod: Mikos@sod

Try to reinstall your NIC. If that doesn't work, try to download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.

Just got my internet line connected today. If you use username@sod during non-sod hours, will use still be able to connect even w/o sod speeds? Just want to know if I need to constantly change my username setting depending on the time. Thanks.

No need to keep on changing the usernames. To avail of the SOD (provided you are on Plan 1999 and below), you need to attach @sod to your BayanDSL username, like in my previous example prior to your post. You also need to reconnect your PPPoE dialer (or your router) at 10PM. SOD takes place from 10PM - 10AM.

There is no need however, to reconnect or to change the username (or remove the @sod) as the SOD servers automatically disengages and transfer our connections to the regular BayanDSL servers. The connection will remain active and the speed will go back to their non-SOD levels every 10AM without the need to remove the @sod or to change the username.

I hope this helps.
