Nakabit ang TP-Link router namin. Yung tinatawag nilang 2 in 1 dahil my wi fi na sya.

Kung naka residential line ka, that is basically good for just one PC. Thus if you are on a residential line, chances are, it will really divide the connection into the number of PCs connected since it is only good for just one PC at the most. If you do individual speedtest on the laptops or PCs connected, it will still give you the same result. However, try loading up those PCs with internet activity, like one PC is doing video streaming, another is downloading, the other is playing online games, the other is doing torrents, and you will notice yung speed test results mo will drop.
Give me the name and the model of the TP Link router na gamit mo. I might have the screenshots for it.
Incidentally, you may check this thread: Router Set Up and Configuration. We do have a screenshot on how to change the wireless settings for a TP Link Router there. Hopefully that should give you an idea how to change its wireless settings. I remember posting that before when someone asked me about TP Links before.ryan1978 wrote:Nakabit ang TP-Link router namin. Wait lang... Aling technician ito? TP Link?
Sorry if I am asking. I do know na routers are installed by their respective owners and very seldom that a technician does this. Are you referring to a TP Link technician? Ang alam ko kasi pag router yan, as in router like Linksys etc, the owner is provided the username and password. In fact the owner of the router is even taught how to customize it for his own security.

And they are able to program their routers according to how they want it. There is a way to bypass and change everything that the technician did to your router and that is to reset it. Be handy with the manual or with the tutorial I provided in the Link so you can access the router. Once na reset mo na yan, then it should revert back to its default settings and you should be able to access the router.
All routers should be accessed by their owners and customized the way their owners think it fit for their needs. Nagulat nga ako na you actually needed a technician to install a TP Link router when most people can do it provided they have the manual. Computer savvy ka naman so I believe you can handle it.
The only time na alam ko na hindi talaga pwedeng galawin ang routers is if they are provided by the ISP or a specific company. In such cases, the router may have a firmware customized by the ISP or the company issuing it. Gaya ng modems issued by BayanDSL. Their modems do not contain the factory default firmware but the one customized for them by the modem manufacturer. Same with other ISPs who also issue their own routers. But if this is a TP Link router na binili mo sa isang computer shop at ininstall ng isang technician nila, ginuguyo ka lang niyan. You have the right to know the access to router and how to change it. Hehehe!!! Thanks a lot Sir Mikos! Good day!

The DSL tunnel is for residential lines is good for just one PC. That is the reason why the connection gets divided. Business Packages have a tunneling designed for a certain number of computers, thus their DSL tunneling is bigger and is given priority at the server level for bandwidth allocation. So for example, if the package is designed for 4 PCs then the DSL tunneling will be more or less good for 4 PCs connected. Anything more than that then problems begin.pesto wrote:Mikos wrote:Mali yung technician.
