Please post the following, other than your account number:

1) Status of the DSL light on your modem when you get disconnected.
2) The advise provided by the technical support hot line when you reported the problem to them via phone (181 direct from any Bayan Phone) or thru email (customersupport@bayan.com.ph). If you have not reported the problem yet to the technical support hot line, please do so.

Thank you.

FLAMERS shall be severely sanctioned!!!
Please lang MATINONG TANONG LANG SANA ANG ITANONG instead of NONSENSE ONES.

The Forum is NOT an Online Technical Support.
For your DSL/Phone concerns please call the hot lines FIRST before posting it in the Forum.
This includes requests for port resets, DSL connection footprints (ATT and SNRs), requests for technicians and repairs.
Please read the Bayan Forum Rules.

Call the technical support hot line and request for a technician to come over and check the following:

1) Physical Line
2) Modem

Advise them that you are having problems with the DSL as the DSL light keeps on blinking. Mention to them that several port resets have been done and a technician is already necessary to fix the problem. Get the fault ticket number and post it here. By the way, it is very important that be home when the technician visits. So be sure to call the hot line and tell them when would be available to receive the technician. You cannot request for a specific time though. I usually free up my entire day when I request a technician from Bayan to visit me. I suggest you do the same.

For the mean time, while waiting for the technician, you can do the following:

1) Check if your modem is near any of the following devices: TV sets (CRT Monitors also), UPS, AVRs, transformers, high powered lamps, huge speakers, base of wireless phones, refrigerators, air con, routers (if you own one, it is not advisable that it is inches beside the modem, 12-24 inches distance is recommended), and other similar devices.
2) Check also if the phone cable connecting the modem to the ADSL filter for any bites, exposed wires or irregularities.
3) Check also the brown cable connecting the phone jack to the box outside of your house for any irregularities, bite marks, or exposed wires.
4) Check also if the phone cable connecting the modem to the ADSL filter is the correct length (roughly three meters).
5) If you have a carpet like table cloth where you place the modem, better place a thick book in between as this can cause static electricity and thus affect your internet connection.
6) Make sure that the modem is in a well ventilated area.
7) Check if the phone cable connecting the modem to the ADSL filter is mingling with many wires coming from other appliances. If it does, better isolate or segregate them and move the modem's phone cable away from the other wires.
8) If you use phone extensions, please remove them as the ADSL filter supplied during the installation can only handle one phone unit.

This can help your connection in the long run. As well prevent some common problems related to the DSL that we ourselves as subscribers can fix.

I hope this helps.
