Im having problems with my connection, and im thinking its because of the modem.
it dies of in less than 5min! everything turns off except the power, and before i
knew it my downloads are discontinued. or when im playing games it hangs up and says
connection terminated from server. i have to wait for the lights to turn on and steady
before i can continue, after a few mins it disapears again, again, and again. at first i thought
it was the heat, because when i touch the modem it heats a little( and pretty fast ) now what i did
is i place an electric fan facing the modem. but still desame things happen.
what must i do? THANKS 4 helping!

Your problem might be the modem but it might also be "PL" Physical Line or the DSLAM port you are connected.

The easiest way to check if it is a PL problem is if your DSL is bundled with phone, try to make a phone call for at least 10 minutes.

You mentioned that you are DC'd in less than 5 minutes interval. If your phone call drops/DC, then there is a loosed PL in between you and bayantel.

For the other 2 problems, please call 411-2000 and state your concern.

BTW, if you have friends or neighbor that is connected via BayanDSL in your area, try swapping modems (including adaptors... you might have different brand/model of DSL modem) temporarily with them, if the problem still occurs, Call 411-2000.

I think its a problem with your physical line not your modem.

But its better for you to ask bayantel to check your modem, if it needs to be replace. may mga defective modem ang bayantel. I have encountered some lalo na yung nagwhiwhistle.

second if walang problem sila nakita then it might be your physical line, ichecheck rin nila yun eh.

in short call the hotline muna hehe. Pinahaba pa no!

Wala kasing quality control.

Ak kukulitin ko yung TSR for another modem replacement

If you buy your own modem, you will still configure it to BayanDSL settings so that you can use it. As of now Huawei SmartAX MT880 modem is still my modem, I did not have any problems with it even if I leave it 24/7 on still no problems.

I think pwede but you have to configure it the same as the bayantel's modem. I will ask bayantel to replace the modem if I were you because you have the right naman eh they can't complain...

anong modem ba installed sayo?

Solution to the limited or no connectivity is by inputting a static IP. Thats by going to lan area connection propertes - Internet protocol (TCP/IP) properties then choose "use the following IP". 192.168.1.xxx - x is for any number from 2 to 2xx; subnet automatic na may lalabas pag click mo siya then Gateway would be the modem's IP address: 192.168.1.1. You don't need to input the DNS (I think) if your not using a router pero kung may router ka you need to input a primary and secondary DNS. then save the settings.

tama yung post ni sir xtinct69 sa solution with limited or no connectivity.

yung sa huawei naman... just check kung steady naman yung power, link - adsl set and link - lan set...

dapat hindi namamatay yan
if the link - adsl set keeps blinking, bayan side problem

if the link - lan set keeps blinking instead of fix orange light modem, rj45 cable and pwede rin pc problem
