Ok if you want to hide this I will gladly spoon feed you a solution:
Here you go guys: Virtual Desktop Manager

Hardly any setup required PROMISE!!

~steps~
1. Put the "RE-connection monitor" in a folder
2. In that same folder make a notepad document named: logininfo
3. Edit the notepad document with your account details CONNECTION NAME USERNAME PASSWORD

EXAMPLE Bayandsl Monkeyuser@SOD sillypassword
Separate your connectionName, username, password with
TAB-KEY NOT SPACE!

4. save the file Make sure you save the file with the name of: logininfo

THAT'S IT! Double click RE-Connection Monitor and it does everything of you! Use "RE-Connection Monitor" as your new pppoe dialer (internet starter)

Remember just edit the txt files inside the folders. Then run the exe file

UPDATED MIRRORS! Files:

DOWNLOAD!!!

There are two version work exactly the same exept one monitors the connection even faster.

Yup thanks Mikos. Up erly or sleep late??

And to everyone please please watch the video. worked hard on the video, Almost as hard as coding the batch lol!! anyways vid should answere any questions. Time to watch a movie! hehe.

FYI i made this upgraded version to be more efficient in detecting disconnections, faster at redialing the connection, and even faster at testing the connection. Its also ALOT easier to figure out this program then my last program. SIMPLIFIED so any person can use this. Not only the tech savvy ones but the noobs also!

( love D noobs )

NO you don't have to change any settings with the normal dialer because your not using that (stupid) dialer anymore.
No need to change any settings except the settings inside the txt document that i showed you to change in the video

Are you asking if you can change the message? If that's what your asking then im sorry to say the answer is no. But
If your familiar in batch file programming i would be happy to pm you the source code and you can change the message
in the source code to what ever you want. (just leave my credits plz) Just ask if you would like to get the source code.

Im just wondering are you using this? And how is your experience with it so far?

THanks

It eats some CPU usage, It calls a couple different internal functions is the reason. (hence being users friendly) It calls information from a txt file so you wont have to edit the batch code yourself. If you like (just ask me) i can send you the older version + enhanced check speed as long as your ok with changing the batch code in terms of inputting your own ConnectionName UserName Password As long as your ok with changing some of the code yourself (user information wise).

Go ahead and hit me up for the code if you like. (post on request)

I downloaded it earlier and it works really well!

The fast one kept disconnecting so I tried the normal one and it works fine now. :)

Good im glad to here that. The fast one is "resetting" your internet too often because of the ping or "latency" being high. This is due to the APCN2 problem caused by typhoon Morakot. After some time, probably by next month or so you may be able to use the fast version. By then internet here in PH will be back to normal.

Thanks for the feed back Justin.

Hehe certainly a quad core helps, runs about 3% cpu usage on my system for the old one. You may want to try that one. Let me scrap up some code and pm it to you.
Hope it helps. This is actually used when browsing/downloading files/keeping your voip phone alive while your away from your keyboard. I also use it when playing games, Most games still log you out though. And actually it does not require a quad core to run it. Ran it on my duo core laptop and new version ran at about 8% cpu usage "AVERAGE" spikes to 12% for a few seconds after calling a few internal functions the bottoms out to 3-5% CPU when idling but still averages at around 8% on my duo core. Much less on my desktop. May i know what its interfering with on your system by using some CPU usage?

lol it certainly does not need a quad core. my PC is only a single core processor. it's a very old one, my father bought me this like in 2003 or so. it's really old but I use the auto-reconnector fine. doesn't make the pc draggy or something.. :P

And well maybe I should just stick to the normal version, since my PC is kinda old but i'm gonna use it at times. It might take much toll on my computer if i use the fast one. My processor is only 2.66 GHz single core. lol

P.S. Maybe you should combine the fast one and the slow one into only one zip file. that gives the user two options without really downloading the 2 files so they can test what would be best for them. the files are really small anyway. in my case i am using the 2 alternately.

Certainly. Sure i will edit my thread with a download that contains both versions thanks for the suggestion.
Also wait for a pm from me, i will try to come up with an updated version of the old auto reconnector that's just as fast as the new ones but eat less cpu, i will pm you a download link if you don't mind.

PS: your comp is quite sufficient to run this w/out toll/or problems im sure, lots of users are running this on 1.8ghz duo cores. Which is almost hand in hand with your single.

There are many different ways to hide the program from running. You should be creative, do some searching around. I will give you a free hint and edit the original post with a quick fix that doesn't involve sweating caused by writing code at all. Just for you...

If you would take a look at the older reconnect your question has been asked before, HERE

I will even site the spot on the post
Quote:
I also advise everyone to use this program VIRTUAL DESKTOP MANAGER It will help in hiding the command prompt among other things you would like to organize/hide open applications.

Here's a link just for you:
Virtual Desktop Manager

Cool little powertoy for your desktop. works on vista and xp.. The best part is i don't need to write a vb script just to hide the command prompt.
Also you could use it for many other things as well. Such as hiding things from parents or whatever. Give it a try and post some feed back here, feed back is always nice!

I have a question though.. Can it work on my single processor 2.66 Ghz? I doubt it can work well. It might kill my pc. haha

I don't think it neads a multi core processor. We have a single processor 2.66Ghz Pentium IV HT at the office and it runs on Windows Vista Ultimate without any problems. It should be able to work with yours.

i clicked on the reviews of the product in that website and all reviews say it's quite slow even on quad core and dual core systems with 8 GB ram, etc. maybe i shouldn't try this. and it says it crashes too often on windows xp sp2 and sp3.

What are you talking about? Its not on any website. I've coded this in batch specially for bayantel and their subscribers Even read the credits built into the exe .. May you post a link to where you have found this on another website with reviews? You have sparked my interest now please post back with proof of your accusations.

AH ok sori for the misunderstanding. Thought you were imagining things about the REconnector haha.
Hmm well just try it for yourself. im using it on 2 of my computers including 1 laptop duo core 4gb ram runs just fine. Hasn't crashed on me so far. Microsoft also has a powertoy on their website that does the same thing. Except its only for win xp. Just try it you will like it I'm sure
