This tool is really good but it is not really advisable for subscribers that experiences freq disconnections especially for online gamers, mararamdaman mo pa rin kc na na-dc ka yun nga lng nagreconnect ka agad but nalaglag ka na sa game bcoz you acquired a new dynamic IP Address. BTW thank you for posting this Sir Alex. This is helpful lalo na sa mga subscribers na ayaw gumamit ng dialer, hehehe..

bug found--
- if the connection is way too busy .. and theres a chance that the ping fails... then reconnect even if youre not disconnected actually.
suggestion... kung magagawa lang natin yung program kun saaan kaya nyang ma-sense yung flow nang data mismo sa network card.. if no received is flowing for specified time .. now, that is the time to use ping if connection is really ok... if not then reconnect..

RioSama the Auto Connector is only for those who use a direct modem connection. Bayan's modems are in bridged main reason why most people dial the PPPoE connection on their PCs. What Alex created was a program to check the connection and in the event that it is disconnected, it would automatically dial it for you. While Windows have this option already, the Windows client does it slowly. His is much faster.
This feature or ability is already built into majority of routers. In fact, if you have a router, you don't need a dialer as it is your router that does it for you. Most routers also check whether your connection is active, disconnected, or idle, and automatically redials it in any given situation. Hehehehe... Napahaba tuloy explaination ko. You don't need the auto connector/reconnector if your router is set up for PPPoE already.

The windows dialer does reconnect it when it gets an actual error, or when it detects there has been a disconnection. But many people experience a disconnection, and the windows dialer never reconnects it as it used to happen to me. Sometimes you would just have no connectivity at all, that's the purpose of this. Too bad windows doesn't incorporate a better dialer..
But why should they. Most people don't use pppoe dialers anyways.

THanks for support guys.

Sir, start your own thread in the BayanDSL Support section so that we can address your concern with the disconnection. Alex, the creator of the program, will address the concern about his program here. I just want to address the issue with the DC full time. That way we can do something about it. Include your account number and your set up in the thread you will create. Advise us also what happens with your modem's DSL light when you get disconnected.

way_2_hot_a wrote: Hmm. I'm sure people are using this with windows vista. I didn't use any xp only switches when programming this. Did you watch the video? In the txt file that you have to edit you should fallow the syntax. Connections name [tab] UserName [tab] Password Please make sure your connection name is correct.
How does it not work? Does it give an error? What happens when you open the program? Please explain further what happens when you try to start the program.
If Sir.Mikos would be kind enough to test it as i think he has a vista system available. (just run the program and verify it doesn't give errors in vista) That would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion Alex. Will test your connector when classes begin. As of the moment, I can't isolate my modem since my nephew is at home and usually goes to the internet, taking advantage of the vacation to spend as much online time as he can with his Dad (my brother, who is in another country). We use a router that is the reason since we have two computers. I will post the feedback here. Thanks again.
