Wow... Blank post.
Anyways, I am not sure if there is a Bayan EVDO in Cavite. Better confirm this with the Bayan Moderators. Just wait for their reply.
As for the Wireless Internet of Bayan (EVDO) I have tested that already during the EB of the Forum, and true to what Admin had said, it is a consistent 384kbps wireless internet. The EB was on going and we were surfing the web on his lappie. XD

Tsaka bat po sa iba up to 2mbps ang speed compared to your 512kbps only?

Tsaka bat po sa iba up to 2mbps ang speed compared to your 512kbps only? Yung ke Bayan naman kasi is TrueSpeed. Meaning as long as you have 4 bars of signal, you will get the speed you subscribed to guaranteed. So kung naka 512 kbps and you have 4 bars of signal, you will get 512 kbps. Sa iba kasi if you noticed, the 2mbps service is subject to fair usage practice. Ibig sabihin, as the number of users in an area grows, the slower it will get. Remember, these wireless connections also share with the celphone users. Hindi guaranteed yung 2mbps nila. Kaya nga nakalagay sa mga ads nila, UP TO 2 mbps...
You have a point about going to the shop instead. Pero yung ke Bayan ata, ang target is on people who do not have access to telephones, thus they cannot have DSL. The service is actually helpful sa mga taong nangungupahan lang at ayaw ng land lord na me kinakabit sa mga bahay nila, or sa mga students na madalas nasa labas dala ang laptops, also for professionals who need internet connection sa daan, etc. I think it is also geared towards people who want internet service immediately. Once you get the USB modem kasi, alam ko ready na yung line and can be used already. Designed for people who stay on the net din yan, not for just a few minutes, but for a long period of time. As I have seen some people na naka laptops, madalas oras ang inaabot ng mga yan. Convenient kasi ang laptops. You can take it anywhere.

Can the Plan 256 be upgraded to plan 512 if ever?
Why the need for 24 months holding period when you already paid for the unit? Other provider don't have holding period for postpaid when you pay for the one time modem charge. Wanted to try but this is what holding my decision (the 24 month holding period)
Is this HSDPA connection already?
