There is a problem here in Quezon City with the internet and right now i am using my Mydestiny cable connection instead.
I dont understand why it takes so long to fix this as not only one but many users might have the same problem.

Btw....the neighbours are using PLDT and have totally no problem what so ever.
It might be so that because of the floods there is a capacity problem of mechanics to fix all problems
but even with that they should set priorities what concerns multiple users / one problem !!!

I am from Quezon City also yet I am able to use my BayanDSL connection. At any rate, Bayan is already doing its best to restore the services where they are able to do repairs. More or less everyone has the same problem due to what happened. The best that we can do is to report that we are having issues with our connection to make the ISP aware of what is going on.

Kindly report this to technical support for the DSL and customer support for the phone connection.

You may contact them thru SMS:

Phone:

BYNTEL<space>(number with the problem)<space>description of the problem

Sample: BYNTEL 7654321 No Dial Tone

Send it to 0917-890-2327

DSL:

BTI<space>DSL<space>(account number)<space>(description of the problem)

Sample: BTI DSL 987654321 DSL Blinking

Send it to 0917-893-2189

You may also email them at customersupport@bayan.com.ph.

It is possible that they are doing some repairs in your area main reason why you are also being affected. That kind of incident happened also to me. I am thankful though because in the evening, both services got restored. I do understand though the need of both services to be working. Better notify them Sir about this.

You can also call them by dialing 412-12-12 Option 0 Option 1 for customer support for the the phone problem, and 411-2000 for technical support.

Again, I am sorry this is happening. I hope this gets fixed soon.

finally after putting pressure on the customer service reps i got some results. funny thing tech came and check the the box outside and everything is ok and change the modem and still nothing. then he said will be back tomorrow i dont have a ladder to change the line from the box to the house another delay. really funny when people doesnt know how to troubleshoot.....if the landline is dead the line is dead coz they run on the same line but data and voice are filtered. what kind of support we have pay so much but gets so little.....barely 2mb at the price of $45 US.....while here in the states you get 10-16 Mb constant with that price and 1-2 Mb upload.

I am sorry to hear that. And I believe Bayan will appreciate your feedback. If you want to give feedback about the technician, you may email them to customersupport@bayan.com.ph. That way technical support will be able to gauge the effectiveness of their technicians.

As for the speeds in the US, this is where I will have to disagree with you. The speeds provided by ISPs in the US are not guaranteed or constant. Unless you are on a business account, the ISP will not guarantee the speed. As long as one is within the range of an acceptable speed limit for each plan that one subscribes to, one is said to be getting the service one is paying for. I would rather say the service offered there is consistent. Using the term constant would mean you have a steady speed at all times, not changing or fluctuating. Consistency on the other hand would tell you that you are always within a certain acceptable range of speeds for one's DSL subscription, it may not be steady or constant, but as long as you are always within those ranges then your connection is doing fine. Of course, whether the speed is guaranteed or not is dependent on the ISP that you subscribe to and the type of DSL service.

As for the price, the US has a different economy so I will not wonder the difference.

well as i said my speed is always guaranteed and no fluctuation at all. all of our internet service are running on fiber optics. check out roadrunner or verizon you will see what speed and stability we have here. most of the time it is 24/7 and almost 99 % uptime. no even on business service just a regular DSL, CABLE or Fiber Optics service.

Like I said in my previous post, it depends on the the ISP. Perhaps the Plan you got from Verizon or RoadRunner will give you that. After all you didn't mention which is which in your previous post. And besides, there is no sense to compare the DSL technology here and the US. After all both countries are NOT yet at level footing.

Anyway, this is already getting off topic. Just advise us here if your problem is resolved already or if there are few things that still needs to be attended to. Thank you.

This is what I call support.

I already made a follow up request on this thru the Bayan Moderators. Just wait for their reply or my update on this.

It is your choice if you want to speak with the President of the company if that is what you feel will make a difference. But being a customer like you also, I have found their support very responsive. Other ISPs take ages before their technicians can even respond. I know because I have experienced it, and my friends complain about it. Sometimes, it is how we do things that count. It is how we deal with the problem. I have always believed in being productive, every step of the way, providing feedback that can be utilized and sorting options with technical support, working hand in hand, a cooperative approach. But that is me. You have a different experience with them, and a different outlook.

as i approach this matter in a very civilized way but for some reason your support and technicians constantly drops the ball. I've been very cordial and patient with this matter and as i said in my previous post if you cant make it dont promise to fix it. I went step by step division head to division head so dont blame me if i flame this thread or any response to it because it has gone so far up the ladder and still nothing but empty promises like your politicians with slow response to your natural calamities. all but empty promises. I did not jump over anybodies head I went one step at a time. Liar Liar Liar Liar Liar

I understand we do have a problem. Let us be reminded that flaming the thread will not resolve or amount to anything. In fact that is against the rules. We can always complain without flaming the thread. The Forum is here for discussing possible resolutions. It would be unfair for everyone if you flame the thread considering that you are dealing with your fellow subscribers 95% of the time when you are in the Forum. I have to remind you that 95% of the people you meet here are Forumers, subscribers like you and me. ONLY 5% are from Bayan DSL, and the Forum is just voluntary for BayanDSL employees. This is not a part of their job. Thus, flaming it would be uncalled for. While I understand that you have not jumped over anybody's head, and has gone up the ladder, and still ended up with nothing, it would also be unfair for the other Forumers reading your concern if you flame it. There is always a right way to do things. We can always complain without flaming. Flaming does NOT and will NOT amount to anything. Worse, it will earn the ire of your fellow subscribers who may have advise how to resolve your problem and instead of sharing it, they may just withhold it due to the nature of our post. This also encourages off topic posting. If you notice, your thread has just revolved around you and me in terms of conversation. While other threads are not. Just my two cents worth. I am not stopping you from complaining. It is our right to do so. This is after all a feedback mechanism for Bayan for its subscribers. It is only in the manner of how we say things.

I know the problem that you go through considering that for me, the internet is a basic necessity. A day without it is like eternity, and thus the importance of getting it fixed. But sometimes, things just happen. It is not an excuse. It is just a reality that everyone faces, no matter how everyone strives to stick to what is ideal.

Further, I have already followed this up with the Bayan Moderators and technical support. As we all know this is a Forum and sometimes, no matter how much we try to make the responses and support here real time, we are still limited considering that technical support is not the main function of the Forum.

hey guess what Mikos.....another wasted day with Bayan....so what should i do now considering all this situation and empty promises. How i wish i have another alternative for an ISP but i dont and guess what it is a waiting game and peoples name will pile on and collected and I guess nothing gets resolved. If you were in my position wasting valuable time day in and day out without earning a single cent what will you do. Think Liar Think Liar Think Liar
