Now this is an off topic remark. This is not even related to what I posted. Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you
Read the rules. Thank you.

FYI, the troubleshooting point I pointed out are basic stuff. No need to include that in the ads. So again, unless your intent is to flame, I don't think this is aligned with the thread you are currently posting in.

This poll should be renamed to something like how many people do not know how to use/configure torrent applications/router settings. OO for people who dont and hindi for people who do..

and they say rules are rules, sheesh

like i've said i tried all the guides/tweaks on the net, all the torrent clients, scanned for malware/viruses and still get the same results..

10 - 15kbs/sec

btw this poll should be called: Is Bayan limiting p2p?

We need rules. This is a Forum in case you have forgotten. Just don't dare break them. I have very low patience for people who don't know how to follow rules.

It is one thing to complain and still be within the rules. It is also one thing to break the rules, specially to flame the forum.. I allow the first one, I don't the latter.

And just to answer you, chances are not most people know the technicalities of DSL. It is one thing to know how router applications and P2P work, it is also one thing to know the technicalities of DSL. If you find it cumbersome to complain here, then by all means that is you. Feel lucky you have a forum where you can vent, other ISPs don't have this.

Please stop making remarks like this. This is not helping anyone. Please read the rules.

Yea many factors play into downloading torrents, amount of seeders and peers/how many downloads/uploads are running simultaneously. Torrents are on a connection to connection basis, meaning not everyone is experiencing the same problem. Maybe your experiencing it at a certain time i dont know whats happening with your connection, maybe because you have not started a thread with detailed information regarding your problem Ex: Screen shots, tracerts, ping test, speed test..... A little effort on your part sure wont hurt... Its really easy to come on the forum and vent your problem, the tough part is helping others understand whats happening to you so they may be able to help you.

There is no one way to fix everyones problem.. NO MAGIC KEY THAT SAYS "FIX" that i can tell you to push whenever problems strike. there is one magic fix though....
1.unplug your laptop/tower from all cables ,keyboards, ect.
2. bring it upstairs, if you dont have a 2nd floor you may use your neighbors 2nd floor
3. find a window
4. once window is found, without thinking twice throw your gear out the window
5. problem fixed

singit ulet ako!

una sa lahat... walang magrereklamo kung walang problema.. please do accept that fact...
especially sa service oriented company, you of all people should know that!

ngayon dun sa torrent speeds, its about seeders! we all know that the more seeds the speed it goes..
yun lang ba dahilan? or yun ung dinadahilan nyo?!

kasi sabi nyo dami dahilan e...

alam nyo guys and mods, malaki respeto ko sa inyo, pero if you keep on covering this bullshoes, i dunno whats gonna happen to Bayan.. well all i know theyre doin good business... but thats about it.. meron ba kayong 24hr SOD services sa mga bahay nyo at hindi nyo nararamdaman ung mga nararamdaman namin? (hhmm i think meron yata) kasi kung wala kayong special services, malamang youll be on our side.. i doubt if hindi kayo magrereklamo if you are not experiencing what we have right now.

yun lang yung simpleng facts! theres no too much technicalities on that...
i get speeds around 130-140kbps from my PUBLIC tracked torrents which has perfectly enough seeders during certain times (like 3am-5am or sometimes 6am), but outside of that time frame, using same torrent file and same public trackers, the speeds are cut down, trimmed off, taken away, stopped, funneled, capped ano pa bang words dapat ilagay jan?

if you were in our bullshoes you wont go off this far if your not that crapped out from the service youve been receiving...
looks like these guys needs daring... then we dare you to come into our houses, for us to let you see how things are goin and for you to see first hand whats the real fuzz were havin...

i guess you wouldnt do that? coz its not your business...

and about forum rules, sana yung implementation ng mods sa forum rules eh ganon din ka aggressive ang Bayan sa pagbibigay ng tamang serbisyo, at ganon din sila katapat sa marketing laws! pfft!

Thats exactly my point with all due respect sir....

when we get down to technicalities like this... it is some how redirected to forum rules and some other reasons...
what was the main reason why this forum was made? huh?

It sez on the title.. BayanTech Support, under that, bayanDSL Support...
what in the world are we going to do here... show are flashy rigs?

i think subscribers here are not looking for an extended arm perse!
but since majority of the mods here are up to covering Bayans b-HIND!
then i guess you guys know that much... thats why we are expecting a very logical explanation...

or are there any updates that would give a smile on our faces..
were all paying customers for crying out loud... the way we type words here are the only outlet we have
from a service like this....

if we cannot get good answers from the main players... of course youll say we cannot get much from here..
pero this is an open forum yes with rules and we should apply it... and we should follow it...

mind you again sir, there are such rules also covering consumer's rights for good service...
which we think we are being deprived of... and since this is an open forum...
we also think that this is the best line of defense we have.. atleast we can vent out what we feel...

i guess thats one of the essence of this forum, to let subscriber express something from the service Bayan is giving..

were not saying replace bayan and get another isp... were saying that, theres a problem goin on...
step on it.... but that, obviously not intended to you personally, but atleast to let Bayan know we are experiencing problems
at a certain level that we can no longer enjoy having Bayan as an ISP...

we are not taking this run to you MODS as a personal assault, but to wake up the management...

and please do not take away that right from us....
lets not take this too personal.

Blu, the forum is a separate entity from technical support. Main reason why we have external moderators like who are not connected to BayanDSL. All complains here are forwarded to the technical support hotline via our subscribers who are BayanDSL employees, know as the Bayan Moderators. Everything here is done voluntarily.

In case you don't know, the Forum is independent from the technical support hotline. It is for a reason why we are strict here. The external moderators, and the bayan moderators (subscribers who are employees), are doing their best to make sure the Forum is humming efficiently. Sensha na po kung nahihigpitan ka. Like I said, this is a Forum by the subscribers. AngelAngelAngel

Sir Mikos you know me quite abit i guess...

i dont do much damage with my words...
and i understand that we must not rely on this forum to solve technical problems locally...

but i just want to reiterate that forums like this should handle the shoving and bumps from several unsatisfied customers.
we are not requesting for you personally to act for our queries...

tho i guess sometimes others treat this as their short cut route in getting in touch with Bayan...
i cant really blame them... i guess their desperate... what do you think..

i mean its obvious that many of the threads here are not much in favor with the company.
and for me its quite alarming, im still happy at some point because im not experiencing some of the things theyre having...

and its quite sad on my part, my modem havent had its birthday and were having a rough road ahead...
again i just want to say that these messages are not intended for your MODS as a personal assault..

The Forum was made for the subscribers to have a venue to interact with other subscribers. It was created so that subscribers can talk to one another, share ideas about their connections. This is a venue for subscribers to mingle.

bluviper wrote:

If you notice also, this is not the main title of the Forum. It is just a section in the Forum. Didn't you notice that all technical stuff were placed at the bottom of the Forum? The placing of the technical stuff at the very bottom is not by accident. It is to convey the real reason why this Forum is here in the first place. Technical support is NOT the main function of the Forum.

bluViper wrote:

And a very logical explanation is already being given as far as we moderators are concerned. We will not hesitate to let everyone know what is needed since these are your connections. It just so happens right now that when we asked Bayan, they said they are not doing any capping or throttling. The problems are already being attended to. Technical troubleshooting does take time. And may I correct you, WE ARE NOT COVERING Bayan's Behind. They are unbecoming already specially to the External Moderators since we are not under obligation to defend Bayan since we are not even connected to BayanDSL. The Forum is a discussion arena. Note that we are also subscribers like you.

bluViper wrote:

Blu we also pay for our connections being subscribers of Bayan. If we know something that will help, then who are we to with hold it. I have been sharing almost everything I know about the services of Bayan here... And I know the other moderators have been doing the same. We are affected also by what affects your guys since we are also subscribers.

bluViper wrote:

This is the nature of a Forum. And I am pretty sure you know that. Kaya nga Forum eh. Discussion arena siya.

Yes... I am well aware of that Blu. Why do you think we have allowed complains all this time? We are not even depriving you. Because if the moderators have done that, wala ng makakapag complain dito. We make sure that everything done here is legal since this forum has a public nature.

Korek ka diyan. Thanks Blu.

WE are not denying either that there is a problem. All we are saying is it is not happening to everyone. That the problem is with some subscribers experiencing it. Even other subscribers who has not experienced the problem has already spoken. And Blu, the moderators have been emailing people in Bayan to inform them of this. I for one have been calling their attention to almost all the problems that I see in the Forum. The Bayan Moderators know that. And I am certain they (Bayan Moderators) also try their best to attend to the concerns raised by everyone here in the Forum.

I understand it is not against us Mods blu, ingat lang minsan sa comments. Kasi minsan hindi na din akma.

We are not taking that away Blu. We just made it more efficient Blu so your complains can get to them. Kaya nga wala ng pasaway dito sa Forum, in case you noticed. I will admit, wala akong pasensha sa pasaway. I am not saying that you are one. I should know since I am the one has suspended a lot already..... Cheers... You know me... I won't let the rights of the customer trampled upon.

I don't take things personally here... When I am here, my mind set if always either this is applicable or not. Appropriate or not... I can't blame them if they come here and complain. Main reason why we share as much as we know so that other people can also enjoy their connections. Sometimes some come here in a one last pitch attemtp to resolve their problems. And some do get their problems solved. I have nothing against you Blu. I understand din naman yung point mo. I am just clearing a few things in the air. Anyhow, you have my word. I am always here for the subscribers. Any Bayan Moderator knows that I bug them a lot about the issues that I see here. And I am pretty sure they also are doing their best to attend to the complains they see here. As for them growing in number who are complaining, me technical side and feedback aspect yung forum. That will happen. Pero we do everything that we can din naman to make sure we have activities for the Forumers.

As for the topic, para di tayo OT, I am still waiting for their replies. But my friends in technical support already told me that they are not capping the torrent bandwidth. My former officemate who just subscribed to BayanDSL who does torrents is not complaining either. There is a problem somewhere and I am certain that Bayan is looking into it. Believe me, I ask my friends who are in BayanDSL and they tell me they don't have problems with the Torrent application. Anyhows, thanks for the discussion...

You have my respects Blu.. You know that. Angel Angel Angel

yes i guess that there are no cappings involved.. its just that the process of speed sharing thats making the torrent speeds at a low...

hhmm i guess i should site an example... right now... we are at SOD time.. heres my torrent

then ill post speeds tomorrow at a very lenient time...

ciao for the meantime...

Looking for an extra part-time job, IT job...
