Hello, :)

We've been a subscriber for more than a year now (I think). Our first few months with BayanDSL has been good. After those good ol days, we started to experience terrible slow connection for months until now. My sister complained in this forum, she visited BayanTel's office, but nothing has changed. We endured that for months but I guess we can't tolerate this frustrating intermittent connection. In less than 5-10 mins, our internet gets disconnected which is very frustrating for us who plays online games.

Please, for Pete's sake, we've been complaining for months. Hopefully someone would finally fix this problem we're experiencing. How can I lead my guild if I disconnect a lot of times? =.='

Account Number: 332008013
Details:
- Today, I was able to play in the morning fine.. no lag, no disconnections. But as soon as the clock hits 6PM, internet disconnects like hell.
- When internet disconnects, the Internet light on the modem goes OFF. DSL light blinks for a while then goes OFF too.
- After about 30 seconds to a minute, DSL light turns ON again as well as the Internet light. That's when we are connected to the web again.
- We're using a router and it's set to connect to the internet automatically.

How many computers are connected to the router?

Please check the following:

1) Check if your modem is near any of the following devices: TV sets (CRT Monitors also), UPS, AVRs, transformers, high powered lamps, huge speakers, base of wireless phones, refrigerators, air con, routers (if you own one, it is not advisable that it is inches beside the modem, 12-24 inches distance is recommended), and other similar devices.
2) Check also if the phone cable connecting the modem to the ADSL filter for any bites, exposed wires or irregularities.
3) Check also the brown cable connecting the phone jack to the box outside of your house for any irregularities, bite marks, or exposed wires.
4) Check also if the phone cable connecting the modem to the ADSL filter is the correct length (roughly three meters).
5) If you have a carpet like table cloth where you place the modem, better place a thick book in between as this can cause static electricity and thus affect your internet connection.
6) Make sure that the modem is in a well ventilated area.
7) Check if the phone cable connecting the modem to the ADSL filter is mingling with many wires coming from other appliances. If it does, better isolate or segregate them and move the modem's phone cable away from the other wires.
8) If you use phone extensions, please remove them as the ADSL filter supplied during the installation can only handle one phone unit.

If you have done them already, may we also know what technical support have advised you?

Only two computers are connected to the router.

1. >_< Modem is a few feet away from the Television, Speakers (which are always OFF, we don't use these anymore), refrigerator, and is an inch away from the router. XD I don't think these appliances are the cause of the problem. Like I said, the internet is fine in the morning. It only disconnects like crazy after 6PM.
2. Phone cable is fine
3. Brown cable is fine
4. Phone cable is about 1-2 meters only
5. No carpet
6. Modem is in a well ventilated area
7. No other wires
8. We only use one phone

When my sister went to Bayan's office, they just said they'll send someone to check our connection. However, no Bayan Personnel came. @_@

Okay, I just called earlier before I read your post. XD Don't know if the issue's solved but I'll see tomorrow and for the succeeding days.

OT:

Is it better to call the hotline rather than visiting BayanTel's nearest office for technical support? XD Coz we've been visiting the office for months. .-.

Yup it is better to call the hotline rather than report it to the Bayan Center. The Bayan Center or Bayan Office will still forward your complain to the technical support hotline. That in itself is the delay when it comes to the tech center attending to your problem. That is also the reason why we always advise here in the Forum to contact technical support first before making follow ups here in the Forum. Angel

I see. When my sister first asked for help here in the forum, there was no rule about people to ask help from tech support first. And I didn't know there was a tech support hotline XDD Not until I read the rules last week. Anyway, it seemed that my connection problem is solved. We're still disconnecting after 5 to 6PM but at least disconnections lessened unlike before wherein we disconnect every after 5 minutes .-.

Thanks a lot for the assistance. :)
