May problem po ba sa bayantel bakit sobrang TAAS ng Latency ko sa World of Warcraft, started yesterday mga 2pm,
usually ang latency ko is around 280-400 lang, ngayon walang magawa kundi tumambay dahil sobrang lag.

Hi Loltron,

I am experiencing the same problem too. I just called customer support today and requested to check my connection and do a port reset. Same latency issues after that. Dati 280-400ms lang din ako.. QC area.

It started yesterday too. I asked the customer support kung kailan ako huling tumawag sa Bayantel, he said last year Feb 10,2009. That would mean last year din ako nagka problem sa connection ko with WoW.

Tagal ko na walang problem sa bayantel with WoW and I even recommend it sa friends ko. Ngayon lang ulit nagkaproblem.. So i hope they can provide us information kung bakit tumaas latency recently.

ok i already pinpointed the cause of the problem.

The ip address usually starts with this: 121.96.YYY.XXX

when YYY ranges from 98 to 127 (i.e. 121.96.103.xxx) i get terrible tracert results on international websites and servers during peak hours. But when i luckily get YYY as 204 (i.e. 121.96.204.XXX), i do not experience this lag. In fact my tracert results on all international sites were amazing.

This is a sample tracert when YYY is 204:

World of Warcraft Server:

Tracing route to 12-129-225-102.attens.net [12.129.225.102]

18 187 ms 189 ms 187 ms 12-129-225-102.attens.net [12.129.225.102]
Trace complete.

Any feedback on this? i've tested this for four days and without fail when i get the YYY as 204 (i.e. 121.96.204.XXX), i don't experience lags on international sites and servers during peak hours.
Unfortunately it takes hours to get the 204 ip add so i really need this problem to get fixed. can anyone help?

Found this thread, Last year pa sya.
Totoo nga yang nasa IP yung speed, Ganyan lang ginagawa ko pag lag nako, antay-antay maka connect sa mabilis.
pero nung last 2 days kahit anong relog ko wala paren lag talaga.

BTW eto pala Account # and tracert.

Bangiz, WoW player ka din? if yes, its good to know that we experienced the same problem at the same time. 3 people so far who has unusual high latency issues in WoW. I believe this is regardless of the area, I am in QC (scout area). Might as well mention where you are located to add more details in isolating the problem.

Narmenia, im waiting for replies on this thread. I would've posted another thread for my own but its the same problem. Im just waiting for feedback.

Does anyone know if there were changes recently? Like I said earlier, my last call to Bayan CS was last year, meaning i don't have problems like recently. I do have the common problem where modem lights turn off then I get disconnected but its bearable.

I'm having the same problem but with Aion. It started around wednesday-thursday. I tried doing a tracert on your WoW server and its the same. Seems like it jumps to 300 on the 6th line. I'm also in QC.

edit*
Oo nga pala, I read that in a WoW thread there is a problem with latency on the East Coast side since Feb.17, 2010. Its in WoW forums, don't know if it applies to our problem.

@loltron, how did you get the ip address of your server? netstat? so i could e-mail them too. i also tried to do tracert to your ip above, almost the same result as you. i am in caelestrasz server.

I believe problem started for us at the same day, probably we can hear from bayantel what changes have been made that day? TIA.

login ka wow, pasok ka realm mo, then pag nasa character select screen ka na(you don't need to login to the game world with your character),
tapos open ka ng command prompt. then type netstat
hanapin mo yung may :3724 sa dulo ng mga established connections. 3724 kasi port ng wow.
example,
TCP loltron:ingreslock 12.129.233.63:3724 ESTABLISHED.
yan ung may :3724.

so pag mag tracert ka 12.129.233.63 (kung bonechewer ka)
try mo nlng sa realm mo.

I also have the same problem. I already forwarded my own tracerts to bayan, hopefully may magagawa sila. Have had no latency problems whatsoever with the game for the past 6 months (October pa) and I've always had 200-400 ms latency in game. But lately it at a minimum of 600 ms and can spike past 3000+ ms. This week lang nangyari. Last week matino pa sa akin e. :(

For those wow players with lag issues, visiting this site can give you more info: http://www.wowwiki.com/US_realm_list_by_datacenter

Kahit ano reset at port reset pagawa ko, ganun pa rin problema :(

Not that walang nag rereply na MODs. It just so happened we all have been busy with some activities. Your moderators are not only moderators. They too have a life. Further, this is not an online technical support. As much as we try to make the replies real time, there are situations that it just cannot be done. It is already in the rules. I will not recommend this. As long as I am a moderator in the Forum, I will deal with Forum violators with the utmost penalty I can give them. And I know the upcoming moderator will the do same, kahit babae siya.

Sometimes the latency is not the fault of the ISP. Good thing that you checked their forums. It is easy to blame the ISP though.

I get spikes between the 3rd and 4th hop. sometimes as much as 200 ms. Even if this is only a small part of the real problem, last I checked, 3rd and 4th hops are under Bayan's name. Beyond the 4th, is where its out of bayan's hands.
