Update: This morning, the connection looked very good. Latency was stable at 350ms ~ 400ms from 7am to 10am. Here's hoping that it'll continue.

Not necessarily. You're comparing WoW with MYRO. The game servers of each are located in totally different areas and will most likely pass through different routes. I do not know where MYRO servers are located, but seeing that it is a "#1 Philippine RO Private Server" I would assume the servers are close by. WOW (US Version) servers are located in America, so it has to travel farther, resulting in higher ping. 300-400 ms on WoW is considered a good thing (perhaps even normal) when you are playing from the Philippines. MYRO though should have lower ms requirements since I bet the servers are somewhere in the Philippines, (if not at least within the Southeast Asa Region). So the definition of "good" latency varies highly and is dependent on the servers physical location and the networks it travels to access it.

- jubei`thos(oceanic realm) I'm also in Jubei. Latency seems acceptable in the mornings. Afternoon seems to be tolerable. Late Afternoon to Evening is sketchy. Still have to play in a cafe to raid. Am in a casual raiding guild that raids on weekends, so going to a cafe once a week doesn't seem all that bad to me. Would rather prefer not having to to cafe though. I'm just hoping this will be fixed soon. I probably have longer patience because I have a temporary solution. Otherwise, quitting may be the best thing to do. But if you don't want to to quit. And I mean really don't. You'll have to find another way. Wala na rin talaga magagawa Bayantel for that matter. It's under the control of their international partners (the ones financing the repair operations).

Marami na kong nabalitaan na na-hack yung account nila (not in wow but other online games). I've invested a lot (money sa game at load not to mention time) sa mga toons ko so I'd rather not take the risk. The second best option for me is to ... Honestly, I love bayan's dsl service and support but this latency issue is really killing me, the primary reason I subscribed to a dsl connection was to play online games in the first place. Btw I've also tried tunneling services (wowtunnel), pero mataas parin latency on regular hours *sigh*

But the way I safeguard myself is to have a dummy email for cafe uses. I change my details to that (and the password) for that specific raid time. When it's over, I call home (usually my bro is at home) and I tell him to restore my account to its original details. I don't leave the cafe unless I get confirmation and see that I can't log into my account anymore. Then I head home and continue as normal. In addition, I always check the WTF folder and search my folder and delete it. This is how people got hacked before. Your account name can be seen in that folder. But since Blizzard changed it so you have to use your email instead of your account, then you don't have to worry about keyloggers and the like.

There's very little motive to hack international WOW accounts since walang market sa philippines na bibili ng account and or virtual money Pag local servers, maraming hackers yes.. pero pag WOW accounts.. you're pretty much safe
btw, just a question to you guys, aside from blueskies and ihooked and yota, are there any other net cafe's that support WOW US?
korean wow marami pero US wala masyado

Connection is improving. Mataas parin latency (around 600~700+ ms past 10am) pero mukhang less na yung packet loss.
