it seems that the old disconnect reconnect trick is usable again. try disconnecting then reconnecting if you get a bad tracert until you get a good one. all it takes is a little patience to get a good one. hope this is works for you guys. been getting some lag spikes at peak hours but other than that it seems as it was before the lag fest xD

I've noticed the better latency return, but only during offpeak hours during the past few days. :/ Still it's an improvement but far from the good latency round the clock thing we had going.

Just a sad reminder. Latency has not improved to the level it was back in February. A quarter has passed, we are now entering June, roughly 4 months since this mess started. Disappointed, I am also losing patience fast, but I think I cannot be faulted for being impatient (1 quarter of waiting). If this is truly a "marketing ploy" by another ISP to suffocate Bayantel and there's nothing that can be done about it, truly, then it is the case simply cannot cater to people like us who frequently use the internet for online gaming. Clearly they do not have the structure, nor the control to support us.
This is not a threat. It's just a reiteration of facts thus far. I do not know how long I can remain patient, but you will all know I have left, probably to a more capable isp when I completely stop posting in these forums. Not that anyone cares. But for those who feel as I do, for those who believe that they do not get the service they are paying for, but instead given a simple admittance of defeat, I urge you to suffer no more, and do as I do. Find another more capable ISP.
To the moderators, I thank you for the past support. Although I have to say I pity your positions, as I know and have been in such a similar situation. Being the frontliner is never easy. I am not angry with you, but at the entity you represent. Angry perhaps at the inability to deliver or repair a service that has obviously been met in the past, but no longer deliverable. As to why that is, I am no longer interested in arguing or picking the faults. I am also no longer interested in studying all these tracerts when the fact remains, online international games remain unplayable. I do not believe in the option to "quit" these games because the ISP cannot deliver. Not when so many counterparts using different ISP's do not experience the same level of grief, disappointment, and despair.
I understand there is no new news regarding the matter because the possibility exists that there is simply no new news. But I want one of my last words to these forum to resound. Though this thread may be locked, or I may be banned for any/whichever offense. The problem remains. Silence does not mean the problem has been resolved. My friends, the problem REMAINS.

@ internetboss
have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting until you get a good tracert? try it for 15 mins at the most. once you get a good tracert, take note of the IP address of the server you are connected to and always use that server. i'm sure they have 1 or 2 servers that dont suck. i know it takes a lot of time but once you get a good server, the ms ranges from 200-300+ and is quite stable even during peak hours. hope this works for you xD

Ironically, I was passing through Katipunan this morning, en route to work. I saw advertisement for BayanDsl. Something like "Paputol putol ba internet mo? Sana hindi." and other streamers saying "stable" internet at the 1.5 mbps plan. I couldn't help but smirk. The idea was Bayan would provide a pleasant satisfactory internet experience. But reality and personal experience say otherwise. Kawawa mga walang alam sa totoong situation. Lalo na ang segment ng mga online gamers.

BayanDSL is not only for online gaming, I got your point but your post is merely off topic here.

iwambo, I made a directive in this thread in its early development that only cases of DCs pertaining to Online Games SOLELY were to be posted here. I was even clear that if you get disconnected with the internet in general, you should start your own thread, instead of posting the complain here as this thread has been narrowed down to disconnections involving online games ONLY. Which simply means, you are to post your sentiments here, your suggestions, only if you get disconnected from your online games (specifically WoW), but can still surf and do other internet stuff without disconnections. I believe I was pretty clear about that.
It is the responsibility of the Forumer posting to check how the thread was developed.
If you have been experiencing disconnections with your internet in general, then definitely you will also experience problems with your online games.
Kindly do as what Mod NoTroubleFound have directed you to. I suggest you also start your own thread. Thank you.
By the way to help you, here is a screenshot of that directive I issued several months back (dated February 21, 2010):
