by the way, we are not blaming bayan, we are letting them know what the problem is(so maybe the have something about their side of the story). i believe WoW players who posted here are mature enough to post what they experienced recently. based from the facts mentioned above, bayan players suddenly got latency issues wherein we had around stable 300ms before(including myself for 1 year).
please avoid unneccessary post on this thread so the issue be attended asap hopefully. =)

Same problem. Dati pagmadaling araw, maganda yung latency around 300ms at pag ordinary hours < 500ms. Ngayon regardless of the time nasa 600ms~900ms, although ok naman yung result sa speedtest ko. Right now I'm still observing the problem kasi I noticed that this started after Blizzard did an emergency maintenance some time last week (hindi yung rolling restart nung tues). If it's a problem in Blizzard's side hopefully maayos to after the next maintenance.
Sayang nga lang kasi hindi ako maka-raid ng 25man this week

Guys... There are two possible areas of the problem. One is on is on the side of Blizzard, and the other is on that of BayanDSL. I also have been observing the forum of WOW. And there is a problem on the East Coast side as given by one of our Forumers. We have to make sure that Blizzard has done their part first so we can see what is going on. Incidentally, this problem also started when Blizzard started having issues. Hopefully, this problem resolves itself when Blizzard is done since I do not know of any issues with Bayan as of the moment. Feedback is very important though so keep them coming. Thank you.

i agree, two possible areas na mahirap isolate.
anyway, additional info. 4am i got 259ms. for the past few days kahit madaling araw 600-900ms, ngayon chamba bumilis. so nalito ako lalo, first i thought sa bayan ang problem.. pero since bumilis ng madaling araw, now iniisip ko baka may new hardcore subscriber sa area at natutulog siya ng 4am(guess). pero from the fact that bayan subscribers from different areas were having the same problem sa wow, bayan nanaman ang naisip ko hehe.
hehe.. hirap isolate no? =)

I've tried waking up in the dead of the night, (3am-4am) and while latency is lower, it is only by a small amount. (-100ms average). Not very convenient to have a nocturnal game lifestyle (Imagine raiding at 3-4am while having a day job). Unfortunately, I don't have my account number with me at the moment, but I do have my ticket number which I opened with Bayan yesterday, (or 2 days ago). My problem is similar (if not the same) to most WOW players here.
For reference ticket: 6872164
I have to say, regardless what happens, I'm glad Bayan Support seems to be taking a proactive stance regarding this issue. Of course I hope the problem will be resolved, (and not have to be in despair to wait for the problem to go away)
Also, I've been keeping tabs on a BayanDSL subscriber playing WoW who opened a forum topic on WoW's offical forums. This is what their tech rep had to say:
"The issue occurs when the data is sent across the pacific.
4 8 ms 9 ms 8 ms 202.78.119.1 5 * 371 ms 367 ms 12.119.139.13
While the 300+ latency is high it alone is not the issue. The main issue is the '*' that appear on the traceroute.
Those are dropped packet, each dropped packet needs to be resent by the game. The more packets that drop the more need to be resent, the higher the in game latency.
Your ISP needs to work with their peering partner across the pacific to investigate these issues. I recommend contacting your ISP again and let them know they are having a peering issue with their partner across the pacific. You may need a tier 2 or 3 tech to investigate this issue."
To all of us affected, let us hope that this problem will go away soon. Cheers.

maybe i'll go hit my friends house and i-try WoW doon. She's using different ISP.
Baka makapasok, i mean connect. Hoping mababa ang latency.
Proxy Servers na try nyo na ba? eg. WoWTunnel and likes.

Haven't tried wowtunnels. Pero may bayad dun di ba? It's a little ridiculous na kasi, you pay for dsl subscription fee, you pay wow subscription fee, then now you pay wowtunnels subscription fee.
Just beyond my budget sadly.

I'm using proxy servers, but as said by the poster above in WoW forums. I tracert the proxy server and its the same the latency went up. The latency shoots up when it hits the pacific shore. I've tried multiple NA server tracerts and it really shoots up when it reaches NA lines. I did a whois of the ip and it seems its from AT&T(NA broadband provider). It could be they're having a problem or something. Don't take my word from this, just an observation.

Even PLDT users? That's interesting...and disturbing. The problem seems to be spreading.
