As the moderator stated, i will create my own thread with.

We(majority of the subscribers) were experiencing LAG ISSUES, because of the numbers of complain, i can safely conclude that its not from the server we are connecting but the server we are connected to(Bayantel).

I just check this forum the first time, and i noticed that some were experiencing this high latency issue for a week.

I am just bothered about the services they are giving, during past few months bayandsl was fast(just what a normal dsl gave) but this past few days it just blew my head off the comp because of the slow connection, and i even check my ping to yahoo.com(a popular search engine site), and its high(400-500ms), i check speed test(QC) its only 30ms, so i dont think its bayantel, i call to the customer support rep. she just said "Wala naman pong problema sa internet nyo baka sa PC or virus issue" then i reformatted my pc(fresh dualcore), i check my ping again but its really high, ihave to go to school so ididnt call again, then i check this forum, i didnt think many subscribers are having the same trouble i have.

Im not being rude but please dont answer with a question, T_T.

edit:
Where could i get my Account number?(newbie here)
My connection is Bayan Dsl 760kbps, 1pc.

Warning on you. We do not allow indirect vulgar words in the Forum. Umulit ka pa and I will have you suspended. As a moderator, I do not tolerate any form of vulgar words in the forum direct or indirect. Hindi pwede dito yung pasimple as frustration can be expressed in a more decent manner.

To All:

Due to the nature of the problem and how it has turned out in the discussions in the Forum, I am placing this thread under strict moderation. ONLY ISSUES WITH ONLINE GAMES are allowed to be posted in this thread. If you have issues with the DSL connection, like intermittent connections or slow speeds in browsing, please start your own thread. Furthermore, PLEASE POST YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBERS, if you are voting.

*Capitalizations are for emphasis and focus.*

@CTOPHER:

FYI... Your post in this thread: May problema din ako sa torrent. Sino pa ang meron? was not aligned to the directives I issued in the that thread. It's content is tantamount to flaming already as it doesn't even touch base with the real issue in that thread.

FYI again: STEAM SERVERS HIGH-LATENCY.. your comment here is also not aligned. While you are experiencing latency also, your post does not help in any way towards the resolution of the thread starter's concern. Aka, nagkataon me latency problems ka din but then again that is just mere posting of one's sentiments. But will that help the thread starter? NO. Thus, it may come across as flaming in nature.

Another instance: HELP** HIGH PING sa Call Of Duty:MW2!! (PS3). While you agreed with Christer on his concern, you went on to detail your own issues with the connection also. Again, sentimental stuff on someone else's thread. It is clear in the rules that merely sentimental stuff in posts in other people's thread are not really welcomed since they just clutter the thread. We have been strict about that since such posts unnecessarily lengthens the thread.

We may not call your attention to some things in some threads especially if we have done so already in another thread since we have rules and that everyone should be aware of it. Repeated violation will only make the posts appear inflammatory in nature especially if the posts are mere expressions of sentiment or just plain agreeing with another Forumer's concern and doesn't contribute to the discussion or development the thread.

There is a room and time for everything. That is what the rules are for. We are allowed to express our own concerns, sentiments, and what we want Bayan to know regarding our problems but it must be done in the right place. In this case, in the right thread, which is our own thread. It is good that you started your own thread. I laud you for that.

I answered your question in the Torrent Thread with a question simply to direct your attention to things that matter that you may have overlooked, like in the torrent thread where you really were not aware of the directives issued by moderators on what is allowed in that particular thread. Logicians do that especially if we noticed that something was overlooked. We would rather ask a question and point out the obvious thru the question rather than directly spilling the beans on the person posting it.

As for your account number, you can find it in your Bayan phone/DSL bill. You can also call technical support and get the account number. Be ready though to verify some information regarding the account holder.

This is a Forum. We moderate based on what we see would fit the situation within the Forum as this is basically for us, subscribers. We are after all a community. We do have rules that needs to be implemented. Sincerity is of course a trait rather difficult to gauge especially it's lack of it in many instances.

I would understand this is a reaction to what oscar_755 posted. But he does have a valid point. This was posted in the HELP** HIGH PING sa Call Of Duty:MW2!! (PS3) thread authored by Christer. I do not understand why you are bringing it up here in your own thread. If you wanted to react to this, you could have easily done so in that thread. If you find it offending, you could have PM'd one of the moderators.

As for the call for the insufficient services, this is a relative. What is sufficient and what is not differs for everyone. Gaming is just one application of the line which has a lot of factors affecting it. By the way, thanks for the remark whilst its satirical nature. I just hope though that you know how to read between the lines. My posting here of your posting behavior in other threads was merely in response to your earlier post about not flaming.

By the way, I suggest you read the rules. It would help in terms of how you post in the Forum.

I hope you do not mind if I ask a few things. I have been a little too busy doing some stuff within the forum.

I just need to know a few things:

1) Do you have speed issues in general? What results do you get when you run a speed test at www.speedtest.net with Quezon City as the test server?
2) How are you set up? Are you using a router or direct modem to PC set up?

I am addressing this to you and if it sounds like I am focusing on just you it is because you are the thread starter. I would like to check how is your DSL connection in general first before we go into some other issues.

As for the gaming problems, Bayan is already looking into it. The problem though is far more complicated as it looks. I have interacted with our Bayan Moderators concerning the problem and they are already working on this. Admittedly there is a difficulty looking for a solution as the problem is not only centered on BayanDSL. There are other parties involved and this is where the difficulty lies. It would have been easier if the problem is solely on the side of Bayan. But when other networks come into play, pinpointing where the problem is becomes even more problematic.

-wew ithink thats a little late to ask;

1. General(interms of international servers, i mean it, all international servers) no problem with local servers,
idont want to post this bec. it will contradict my report but i just want to clear that those pings are from local servers, it will obviously low as i stated on the very first page of this thread.

2. As stated in the first post, it was a single pc, specifically;

Lan card > Modem(zte) > splitter > then box> Bayantel(idk)

BayanDSL plan 899, 760kbps

-Dont put up the Splitter issue because a technician already fix those and its working properly, the high latency issue is the reason why i put this thread exclusive only for international servers(located outside the phil.) and i mean it when i said al international servers.

When i test these results there are no programs,viruses(newly formatted) and anything open, it is solo browser, no interrupting agents on, i just want to clear it up.

This is clearly not my fault. If Forumers would be more level headed and more attuned to the rules then the moderators would have more time dealing with the concerns posted in the Forum. I cannot blame them as they do not see the Forum as their community but rather as a repository of complains for BayanDSL, which is just the tip of the iceberg for the Forum. It is not here for that. It has a different and higher form or purpose. Technical issues are just secondary here. It just so happens that the technical section happens to be active, and we try to respond in real time as much as we can. Like one Forumer puts it before, in a community you have to be cooperative if you are to get somewhere. This Forum is a community of subscribers, not an online technical support. Rules are very important and strictly enforced.

I will follow up your concern with the Bayan Moderators. They may update your thread directly. Or the information may be coursed thru me also.

You are getting slow speeds. You only have one normal result. Other than that the rest indicates a problem of speed on the line. As for the splitter issue, I am not even saying that. I don't appreciate your bellicose posturing on this. Once you have a slow speeds issue, it is still possible that you will have low local latencies and high international latencies. Thus, it does not contradict still your intended reason for posting. It is a Standard Operating Procedure that the line be checked first before anything else. Main reason why in the other Online Games threads, I made it clear that there should be no DSL issues other than the Online Gaming itself. Incidentally, I can play on international servers hosted in Canada and the US. So I guess the problem is game specific.

No one is telling you to do that. I guess it is really your posting manner to be so belligerent on some things.

This is the reason why we have to consider all possible areas where the problem can come from. The attitude that most people will take is that they become resentful when the idea is broached to them although there is no pin pointing involved just yet. If you have this experience with the technical support hotline then I am sorry. The Forum on the other hand approaches these things differently. We are, after all, a separate entity from them. Although we do interact with them when our Bayan Moderators make follow ups on technical issues regarding our Forumer's concerns.

It is never my character to pass the buck as I also want to know the truth and what is going on. I am, after all, used to delivering news, good or bad, without any form of emotions involved. It is really your style of posting to be brassy on some things (I hope you don't mind my observation). -How am i suppose to reply?, i think i may just wait and see if there will be updates coming, hope it wont take weeks to figure out whats going on,

-Is there any compensation?(i doubt) lol

-I just realize that there are positive views about whats going on:
*Because of lag . . .*
1. I can finish all my assignments in time.
2. I can sleep and let my eyes relax(longer than usual).
3. I learn that reading books are more healthy than searching the net.
Before all i am doing is to play through the net plus school then eat then sleep...

-I will also update my net condition, as of now,
"Nothing really changes, the latency are still high"
