Guys, I'm having this problem of setting-up my Buffalo WHR-G125 for almost a year already. So, sa tingin niyo guys bili nako ng new router? Or sino man diyan may alam pano i set-up ang wifi router Pag bibili man ako ng new router, ano recommended brand niyo siguro yung medyo mura lang (student lang kasi). Hope someone will help me out with this.

Just a few questions:
1) Can you connect to the internet with your PC connected directly to the modem via an ethernet cable and using a PPPoE Dialer in your PC? 2) Did you set up your Buffalo router for PPPoE? If you have you need to leave the service name blank. You just need to place your BayanDSL username and password in the appropriate fields when setting it up for PPPoE. 3) What error are you getting when setting up the router for PPPoE? Or when you try to connect with router set up as PPPoE?

Anyway, I'm not that very technical but I just followed what is posted here by warhammer_mj http://www.pinoydsl.net/viewtopic.php?t=4754 Pero di siya nag work. 3)Habang nakasaksak ang router tapos tinry ko mag connect, di siya maka connect.

I know that thread. That actually changes the default settings of your BayanDSL ZTE Modem. It turns it to another router, which hindi dapat. What will happen is that if the ZTE modem is changed into a router or its router mode is activated, your Buffalo router will not be able to connect.
I need to validate one thing, can you connect with the PC connected directly to the modem using a PPPoE dialer? Or your PC is automatically connected when you turn it on, meaning without having to use a PPPoE dialer? This is very important one reason why I am asking.

Yup, the modem doesn't automatically connect when I turn my pc on, I have to manually connect using a dialer.

You may need to consult your router's manual on how to do this. Based on what I have read about the router, once you access its GUI (graphical user interface), it has a wizard for it to detect what kind of internet connection you have. Then it will ask you for the specifics like your BayanDSL username and password. If you do not know your BayanDSL username and password, you need to contact technical support and get it from them. Be ready with information about the account holder since they will verify your identity as well as that of the account holder since they do not release such information to just anybody. Once you enter the username and password you should be able to connect to the internet.
Incidentally, I have a manual of the router (which I got from their support site). If you need it, you may PM me your email address so I can send it to you).

Better call them. Just be ready with the information about the account holder (the name indicated to be the owner of the account) like his address, his birthday (they might ask), the plan of the account, etc. They will need to validate kasi. Will email you the manual. It is pretty basic though since according to the manual, the router is basically automatic in many ways. It details though how to access the router's page or settings section via a browser that way you can set it up for PPPoE via their wizard.
