I recently subcribed for the 899+300 postpaid landline and dsl. I received good comments about the service and speed. Service = awesome; speed = not so good. I'm using a router. I've hardwired both pcs to the router and configured my router for pppoe(didnt know until I found out that i have to clcik on a dialer for this). Right now, I can automaically connect to the internet. Both my pcs are using win xp(sp2) one has SP3. One uses kIS2010 and the other AVG free. Not much of browsing issues. I can watch videos in youtube with problems. Issues arise when I try to download files. I downloaded a 7.2mb PDF for 22 mins, with the Speed on Demand enabled. I decided to upgrade to plan 1699 hoping to fix the issue. Guess what? Same problem. I tried removing my antivirus, tried directly connecting to one pc, tried safe mode with networking - same problem. My brother plays a game called ACE online. It takes about 2-3 secs to fire his weapons. Lag is pretty obvious and it's horrible. I dont even know if that SOD works! There also times wherein I cant pull up a webpage completely! Even this forum doesnt pull up sometimes. I would have to power cycle evrything. I called tech support and they'll try to send an onsite tech to check whther I have connection issues. I honestly having second thoughts about switching to bayantel. It's excruciatingly frustrating that both my dad and I rely on internet connection for our work, and we are not getting what we are paying for. But hey! Your support is awesome!!!

Please read: Rules Concerning Posts and Threads and bayanForum General and Posting Rule.

Kindly provide us the following info also:

1) Speed test results from www.speedtest.net with Quezon City as the test server (without the router connected).

Thank you. Angel

Sorry about that. I looked at the yellow service application and I cant find any account number there. Looked at the delivery receipt and saw "ZTE modem, serial number of modem(I think), Username, password, Cx care number, SO# *******". The SO # is 7 digits. Is that the account number?

The account number is the one found in your Bayan DSL/Phone bill. You can also call technical support and get it from them. Be ready to validate some information about the account holder as they do not release the information to anybody. Angel

Possibleng wala pang billing statement si sir since new subscriber ata sila. Tumawag kayo sa support number at dun po itanong ang account number ninyo. They'll just ask you some personal info, phone number, etc. then ibigay din nila sa inyo yun acct number.

I-relay nyo narin po sa support rep ang inyong mga dsl issues while you're at it
