Hi Guys, im currently working Easycall Eservices as SysAd, we're using 6 mbps Bayantel link.. Apparently, ok nmn yung link namin dito.
then nag subscribe ako sa DSL for my Home link.

ayun, iba pala routing ng DSL subs sa corporate accounts noh?

any late news nga pala sa international link problem?

Yup. Business (Corporate) customers (for any ISP for that matter) do not use the APCN2 and the EAC cables. They use the transpacific cable that directly connects the Philippines to the US mainland. Residential customers on the other hand pass thru the APCN2 and EAC cables. Thus the differences. The company where I used to work uses Bayan's internet also. And yes, nagkagulo gulo na lahat ng residential ISPs at net users dito sa Pinas, pero operational pa din yung internet sa office.

Before we go off topic, it is only the EAC that is slated to be on full operational status by March 31 (protected route). The APCN2 cable repairs currently has no updates yet.

Thanks Mikos,

After EAC back into action, will there be improvements on connections? does EAC and APCN2 have 50/50 shared load? thus making it 50% improvement(if EAC goes up)?

I think isa ito sa reason kung bakit nagkakaroon ng undersea cable repairs sa Asia-Pacific ngayon.

Taiwan Earthquake Damages Undersea Internet Cables.

That earthquake happened last March 4, 2010.

User, [yoo-zer] n. The word computer professionals use when they mean "idiot".

Both EAC and Inter-Asia cable system are stable and operational. By the way, all SEAIOCMA vessel are underway for the schedule repair this is only for a protection or redundant

In other words nothing will be repaired at all, or i??

what you mean by "underway" still not on the repair status??, they are just planning when the repair will undergo? so we will wait another month for this repair??

un plan na yan hindi nakaka-cause ng problem.. that line is a redundant line or back-up lang... hindi ito manual na sinisisid or binabarko lang.. hindi rin siya copper wire or solid wire... fiber yan naka-lubog sa sea.

Meron na kasi dating case na ganito diba?, so history repeat itself, so sana mas mabilis magawa kc nangyari na to dati pero ganun pdin ang ginagawang solusyon, panu kung after the repair(kailan kaya to?) lumindol ulit, ndi ito impossible base sa mga nangyaari ngaun, dpat marunong tayong mag adjust, or adapt sa mga nangyayari, hindi ung pauliulit n nga ung problema di pa masolusyunan ng maayos.

99% of sites na dati nasa 170-200ms ang latency nasa 330-500ms parin, extreme packet loss pa along the paths, indicating an overloaded route right? if naayos na nga yung sub marine lines does this mean lang na hindi pa routed sa NOC ng bayantel lahat?

www.google.com (dati nasa avg 100ms) (my guess is HK na location)
