WT! Anu ba naman nangyayare sa proxy bigla na lang tumitigil browsing ok naman kanina tapos bigla na lang nawawala yung connection although its connected. Tried rebooting w/c i usually do to have proxy back but its not doing anything this time anu ba yan!!! I mean connection should be improving since you guys are getting a lot of subscribers recently pero baliktad. Habang tumatagal palala ng palala.

1. Before SOD were faster specially for Plann 1699 and customer should expect it to be faster but instead you lower it down. (I STARTED BAYANDSL LAST YEAR WITH SOD UP TO 2MBPS for Plan 1699.)
2. The proxy server keeps on getting error. (Connection soddenly stop page doesnt display but when disabled it was ok? Ping Test 29ms w/ Sod 19ms?
3. Connection is affecting router as well? http://tipidpc.com/viewtopic.php?tid=95805&page=357 <--??

Supposedly
1. As time pass by as for your loyal subscribers you should have put up a higher SOD not cutting it lower.
2. Didn't even give a warning or announcement than you'll be lowering your SOD? http://74.125.153.132/search?q=cache:DSf1-eIDBbAJ:www.pinoydsl.net/viewtopic.php%3Ft%3D8157%26postdays%3D0%26postorder%3Dasc%26start%3D639+bayandsl+speed+on+demand+2008&cd=8&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ph <-- Matagal na po ako sa bayantel para hindi ma observe to. Dont make me sound like stupid! thats BS! anu ka baguhan dyan sa WORK MO?? PARE TANUNGIN MO YUNG PINAGTATRABAHUHAN MO KUNG ILAN ANG SPEED NG SOD FOR PLAN 1699 BEFORE!
3. As demands grow you should have maintained or should have improved for the better, but what is happening?
4. Catering more services should match up the service that you cater or go even higher.
5. As time passed by the connection is getting slower..?! ( I subscribed for Plan 1699 because i was always watching or streaming online and it doent buffer before but now it always buffer and i have to pause the video for some time before i can watch it without stopping at some point. Do i have to put screen shots for this? Kaya nga nag plan 1699 para makanuod ng maayos eh)
6. Pay attention to customers needs... As a service provider don't you think customer has the right or should we say always right?

I was hoping that this negative reasons should be addressed and looked up to. because as the time goes by instead of providing better service and better speed connection., You are providing us with much reason to look for another service providers.

Uhmmm... if I were you, I would rephrase this because the repairs that they are doing is like underwater so I guess, its not that Bayantel's fault really. Well, at least they are doing the best they can to serve EVERYONE.

I think for all companies. Mapa-globe, smart, PLDT, etc, pag-bills pinag-uusapan due date is a dute date. Business is a business, you can't deny that. But one thing that we don't know if is for all businesses customer's satisfaction is also important. Well, there are certain problems that we really can't avoid but what I do believe is that its our responsibility as well to report those. Just sharing my thought

few clarifications about your post:

1) If we are to use all caps for emphasis, it is necessary we state it in our posts. Otherwise, it will come across as shouting.
2) Vulgar words whether used for expression, whether being quoted or not, whether it is an expression or not. We do not allow that here whether indirectly or not.

There was no lowering of the SOD. I pointed this out already in the other thread where you posted this also. We have bold face, underline and italics to emphasize. I really don't see the need for the all caps.

sirjamzn wrote:

The speed test you posted in that thread only shows the difference between using the proxy server and not using it. It does not show problems with the proxy server. There will be a difference in using the proxy server versus not using as the connection from your PC to the website intended is re-routed via the proxy. Except lately where some Forumers have brought my attention to the proxy server, it was a long time ago when I encountered problems of other Forumers regarding the proxy. So where is the part that it keeps getting an error? Your statement is general. Thus, it means ever since you became a subscriber you have always had problems with the proxy server.

sirjamzn wrote:
3. Connection is affecting router as well? http://tipidpc.com/viewtopic.php?tid=95805&page=357 <--??

I have been using a router since I had BayanDSL. And it works fine. I have not had any problems with the router related to BayanDSL. The thread you are quoting clearly shows a problem with their routers. Bottom line, if you can connect via the modem then there is no problem with the internet. BayanDSL does not use Mac Addressing thus it cannot control the use of routers. It is not like cable. Like I often quip, it is always easy to blame everything to the ISP.

We do not have any lowering of the SOD. I have been getting consistent speed during SOD.

The thread you are quoting was started way back 2008. The latest of which was last October 2009. I became a subscriber of BayanDSL last Quarter of 2008. I am one who is very particular of speed and consistency. If there were drops in the SOD speed, then I would have made complains already. By October 2009, I am already a moderator here and I did not get any advisory about the lowering of SOD. Nor did I experience it. Nor did my friends using BayanDSL experience it either.

Please refrain using vulgar words whether this is a form of expression or not, directly or indirectly. The all caps is also not necessary. Since you used a vulgar word here indirectly, please consider this as a warning. We do not tolerate such behavior here.

sirjamzn wrote:
3. As demands grow you should have maintained or should have improved for the better, but what is happening?

They have been doing this. We can always report problems with our internet connection at the technical support hotline. We can even email them via customersupport@bayan.com.ph.

sirjamzn wrote:
4. Catering more services should match up the service that you cater or go even higher.

They have been making upgrades lately. I have felt this also in my connection. As I always say, we can always let them know of our concerns with the connection thru emails or phone calls.

What is the first thing that you do if you are complaining about slow speeds like what happens in video streaming? It is moot and academic you post a speed test with your modem connected directly to your PC that way your fellow Forumers will see whether you are getting the correct speed or not. So to answer you, it is moot and academic you post a screenshot of your speed test.

sirjamzn wrote:

This is an old school thought. The responsible customer knows when he is right and when he is wrong. The informed customer also knows his responsibilities. So in the end, it is the responsible and informed customer that is right. It is not always the case that we customers are always right.

sirjamzn wrote:

I do agree with you these should be addressed. However, just a suggestion coming from my Bes and soon to be moderator: It is HOW you say it. It is HOW you tell it. It is HOW you do it. That makes a difference in many cases. Now go figure.

You posted this in the proxy thread. Which is already off topic. I deleted it and reposting here. Please follow the rules. Thank you.

Well in short gusto lang naman ng lahat is inprovement o maintain what they have before. Instead of making the connection fasted or maintaining the speed eh bumaba pa.

If you are having problems with the speed, then report it. Post your speedtest results.

sirjamzn wrote:
*Like streaming with plan 1699 supposedly hindi nag bubuffer ng paulit ulit or maghihintay ka ng matagal.

Speedtest results please. Thank you.

sirjamzn wrote:
*SOD na dati for plan 1699 is up to 2mbps at hindi po ako nagsasalita lang ng walang proff KAHIT SINU TANUNGIN sa bayantel Ang SOD before are much higher than what we have now.

Standard na 1.5mbps ang SOD ng 1699. If you have been experiencing that before it simply means wala pang ganong customer in your area and you are getting the extra bandwidth. Plan 1999 in the province has 2.0mbps as their SOD.

sirjamzn wrote:
*speaking of SOD before hindi mo na kelangan mag change ng username to be in SOD automatic burst up ang connection pag dating ng 10

Kahit naman ngayon eh. You do not have to change your username. You just add @sod to your username so that it will automatically burst during SOD. Adding @sod to your username does not affect how your connection behaves even after SOD is over.

sirjamzn wrote:
*If ever na magcacater pa sila ngmaraming clients sana ma maintain nila yung good connection nila. As far as i know buss is buss and there is law between supply and demand. Lumalaki and demand pero yung supply enough pa ba?

Only technical support will be able to tell you whether an area is congested or not. If you have sent them the tracerts, perhaps they will reply to you regarding your connection whether this is the cause of your problem or not.

sirjamzn wrote:
*Observant po ako sa connection ko since halos hindi ako nagpapatay ng pc and most of the time na online ako is streaming ako dahil nagsawa na kakalaro.
nararamdaman ko kung same ang connection ko kung mabilis or mabagal. for example. Streaming with DivX movies was never a problem but now kahit anong oras time or day ng bubuffer na palagi.

Since when did this start? You only posted that here without time lines. Some things happened internationally affecting us here in the Southeast Pacific. Main reason why I am asking the time lines.

I just hope that if you keep your PC up and running all the time, it is also well maintained. Just an after thought.

sirjamzn wrote:
*During week ends na sa tingin ko na nasa bahay lahat ng tao eh ni hindi ka na maka pag stream. Sna naman me improvement as in kahit maintain na lang yung dati eh ok na eh pero yun nga bumabagal..

I am able to stream videos even on weekends. I am not saying there is no problem with your connection. Again, it is how you get your point across. Your statements are in general form. Popperian Falsification theory will tell you that a single instance of falsification and your general statement is already destroyed. It is not always the case that what is happening to you is true for everyone. While we welcome the feedback, sometimes, we also have to check the content of our posts.

@SirJamzn

Please take note of the following:

1) Your account number is not posted in this thread. It is in the rules that when posting problems with the DSL your account number should be included in the post.
2) Your set up is not even in your post. Are you using a direct modem to PC or do you have a router?
3) You complained of slow speeds, yet you do not give us your speed test results.

Further, you have posted off topic remarks in another thread: proxy 2x.

In this thread, you also posted and used a vulgar word indirectly.

While we welcome feedbacks and complains, please make sure that in posting it conforms with the rules stipulated in the Forum. Thank you.

Update:

sirjamzn posted an off topic remark in the thread: proxy. That is his 5th violation. He has not also updated this thread with his account number. Forumer is thereby suspended for his very rude behavior in the aforementioned post.

This thread is also hereby closed since the TS did not even bother to post his account number.

This was posted by the TS in the proxy thread. I deleted it an reposted it here in his thread. This is where this post should be.

sirjamnz wrote:
Quote:
sirjamzn, it is not related to the thread. And do not insist. You are not talking to an average person here. You posted the difference in speed test when using a proxy and when it is not in use.

The theme of the thread: Problems with the Proxy.

While the title of the thread is "proxy" the topic is further narrowed down to problems with the proxy server. Thus, posting a speedtest with just the differences in using a proxy and one without is clearly off topic. It did not even touch base on the real issue which is the main theme of the thread.

Moderators have the final say in terms of what is included in a topic, and what is not. And your post is not related to the thread. Like I said, the speedtest you posted did not indicate anything wrong with using the proxy. Differences lang in the speedtest results with and without a proxy, which is not the theme of the thread.

Furthermore, your asking me about gaming is irrelevant to the point. This is not a gaming thread. I did not say that latency is not important. I simply stated that the latencies you got in those speedtest results are normal and that I can still play online games. I do not only play Xbox, I used to configure them for DSL for a living. I also did the same with Nintendo Wii, PS 2 and 3. So now you tell me who does not know anything about latency.

By the way, this is your FINAL NOTICE for posting off topic remarks. I have noticed that you do not seem to heed the calls of a moderator. Sanctions are imposed on repeat offenders. Further, may I politely remind you that the thread you opened did not also conform to the rules regarding the posting of problems concerning the DSL.

If you have concerns regarding the reply I made to your post, you may PM me. Otherwise, you are not to post anything here unless it is aligned to the theme of the thread.

This is an off topic post. And you even posted here.

A few things:

1) Do you need to shout? This is a form of rude behavior. You posted in all caps. You are literally shouting at everyone.
2) I deleted your post because it was off topic. I gave a directive here that if your post is not aligned, it will be deleted. Do you know how to read? By the way, hindi ka pala marunong magbasa eh.
3) Did you check your thread: Bayan DSL Issues? What I deleted here, I replied to you there. I even re-posted it. Now who is arrogant and who is not? Why don't you check? Perhaps it is your pride that has been hurt. Not mine. At least I owned up to the responsibility and replied. By the way, you posted stuff in that thread but you have not even posted your account number. Very responsible and very mature.
4) Freedom comes with responsibility. This is a Forum and everyone here must conform to the rules. If you cannot conform to the rules, then by all means, do not participate.
5) I am a moderator here. I never claimed to be a part of BayanDSL. At least I help people. You? Did you do something worthwhile? So again, who is useless and who is not. A simple account number you cannot even post.
6) You are already badgering me and being disrespectful with what you have done here. Just to quote, I posted this in your thread:

Based on that this is your 5th Violation already. You are already a repeat offender. And we do not tolerate that.
With that mind, you are hereby suspended for 30 days.

7) If you noticed, BayanDSL Support is just a section. This is not an online technical support. The headings are meant to categorize posts. Did that ever occur to you? I guess not. Did you read the rules? I guess not either.
8) You are the one who is becoming the laughing stock. I am a moderator here because I was invited to moderate. This is a Forum of subscribers and it is but natural that some of us will be invited to moderate. Napaka outdated mo naman. Sa US implemented na ang ganitong system. Pero ikaw? Mukang hindi ka up to date. Do we have to employees of BayanDSL to moderate? I do not defend BayanDSL. I just share with everyone what I experience with the line and follow things up when necessary. So who is now the laughing stock? Better brush up and update yourself because it is showing that you are so outdated.
9) While everyone has the right to say what they want, it has to conform with the rules. And you are not conforming. Since your participation here is just a privilege, the Forumers, through their moderators, can take away that privilege.
10) Responsible and Informed customers are always right. Are you one of them? I don't think so. You don't even know how to post your account number and follow the rules. Duh!!!

And lastly, kung napahiya ako, bakit ko sinagot sa thread mo yung pinost mo dito? Di ka pala nagbabasa eh. Next time, read before you react. I pity you. You really have an attitude problem.

Hindi po na-hurt ang pride ko. Sinagot kita sa thread mo. Hindi mo lang binasa. It only goes to show who is really mature and who is not. I will not sue you. I will not waste my money on someone like you who is not worth it. That is not even a threat. I was merely telling you that I know what I am doing and I am more learned. Unlike some people. The vacation from the Forum will perhaps quell your head. You deserve it.

One last thing... Please go back to school and study logic. You do not know how to gauge what should be included in a thread, much less check the theme of the thread. Moderators have the final say. I already explained it to you. And you chose not to follow. Reality check. This is a Forum. We moderators implement the rules. IN this case, I am the one who has the right reasons as I have explained. You are the one at fault with all the violations you have done. You either follow or you don't. You are free to leave the Forum. Sorry, but this is just how it is in any Forum, whether you like or not.
