Ung speed on demand di naman umaabot ng 2048kbps as advertise, the most is 1.7mb, mmamaya ipost ko ung speedtest ko. I'm using a Core 2 Quad 2.66, 3mb RAM and 1gig video card Eto account number ko 338202601 paki- explain ang reason para maliwanagan ako. Dati naka digitel ako pero labo service nila and nagtry ng basic plan for 3 months and now upgrade ako sa plan 1999 because mas consistent ang line ng bayan dsl dito sa lugar namin. Hopefully totoo ang naka advertise sa inyo about the speed for plan 1999 and the speed on demand. Salamat" Eto ngayon ang speedtest result ko at 2:57am , dpata speed on demand of 2048kbps!!! Salamat sa paliwanag.

This could be a possible configuration issue on the server itself. Have you reported this to the technical support hot line? What have they advised you? I won't be able to make any follow ups on this thru our Bayan Moderators if this is not yet reported to them. Please advise if this has been reported already. Thank you.

Usually when an upgrade is done, they set the maximum bandwidth allowed on your connection at the server level. This is the same as opening your DSL line to the speed that you upgraded to. This is also known as your DSL connection profile. Sometimes, this is done automatically by the system when the upgrade is pushed to the servers. There are instances however, that it doesn't happen. Thus, they will have to manually set up your connection profile to correct the problem.
You can call technical support from any Bayan Phone by dialing 181 toll free. You may also email them: customersupport@bayan.com.ph. Be sure to include a description of your problem in the body of your email, as well as your account number and contact numbers (in case they do need to get in touch with you). You can use the email option if you cannot give them a call. Please do advise us here if you have reported it so we can do follow ups with the technical support department via our Bayan Moderators or BayanDSL Forumers. Thank you.isyong wrote:What do you mean by configuration issue on the server, kindly explain I'm not that techie kasi e.

Thanks Mikos for that quick reply, I intend to call the tech support team first thing in the morning and definitely be back in the forum.
Also, I'll try the email route as you've suggested and see how fast the response is. I usually work from 11pm to 8am (I'm a home based freelance video editor) the following day and worked extensively through the internet so I will really appreciate it if the 2mb speed on demand is true.
Salamat!

Hi Mikos, Ngayon lang me naka reply after a week, I've tried the email route pero walang reply. Ang sama pa nagkasunog sa lugar namin and na damage ung bahay namin last March 25!! so we tranfered temporarily to a different location habang nag-rerenovate sa bahay including yung dsl connection namin. Kanina lang na re-connect yung line, ang problema di pa rin nagbabago ang speed ko for the 1999 package: Please help naman to request the moderators to follow up/check the connections and in fact nagrequest rin ako ng speed upgrade for the new 1999 package with Bayantel's customer service sa lugar namin at sabi okay daw. Also paano ba yung SOD? Kailangan lang bang i-reset yung modem o may iba pang gagawin? Thanks for the help! :-)

I am sorry to hear what happened sa house niyo. I pray all ends well... I am glad and thankful that your family came out of it unscathed and alive.
Alright, I will make a follow up on this. Possible configuration error ito on the server level since nag upgrade ka tapos di tama yung speed. Although consistent naman siya na nasa 1.5 range. I am not expecting the Bayan Moderators though to reply that soon since it is Holy Week.isyong wrote:Hi Mikos, Ngayon lang me naka reply after a week, I've tried the email route pero walang reply.
