NO CHOICE AKO! mga kaba-BAYAN... Brick wall

Although yung ibang problema ay minimal lamang like a dc per day. but to mentioned na araw-araw ay may problem, its a sign of a poor internet provider. At sana nman ang mga taga-bayandsl ay maging transparent sa kanilang subscribers like for example, why not put a Advisory section here, para naman alam namin kapag merong ongoing repairs and maintenance sa isang area. sa ganong paraan, mababawasan din ang mga tumatawag sa hotline ninyo.

Its normal, it also means that your on a new range of IPs that hasn't been recognized by speedtest.

I'm only on my 6th day. Never ako umangat sa 40kbps.
I'm thinking of terminating my plan with Bayandsl.

Anyone who lives within the area?

Thank you sa lahat ng nagreply.

I changed proxy na. Medyo naguluhan ako how to do it since I'm using Firefox for mac. Everytime I call sa Bayantel, hindi nila kaya check yung ping from their side sa akin kasi daw hindi nila alam kung paano i-check kung mac. =(

I told the tech guy na ang bagal bagal nga. Sabi niya, baka daw may down lang kaya mabagal.

Punta na ako PLDT ngayon to inquire and probably submit application.

=(

Hi Vince. I had the same problem until recently. I would connect then my connection would die even if my modem said I was still connected. I'd disconnect then reconnect but my connection would die again in 5 minutes. Anyhow, that went on for about a month but it was my fault since I didn't call up customer service to have my connection repaired (I wanted to be around when the repairmen showed up and that meant weekends only and my weekends had been uber busy). So I finally found the time 3 weeks ago. I called them up one Saturday, had the DSL guys come over and take a look. They said it was a landline problem, that my phone had too much static. They said to call up the BayanTel people. So I did a week later: they came, they looked, then said the problem was with my filter. They said to call up the DSL guys again and have them replace it. So I did on the same afternoon and they arrived 2 hours later, changed my filter and... NOTHING. Connection was still haywire. The next day, I called up the DSL guys again. They showed up 2 hours later, ALL 4 OF THEM, and spent the next 2 hours fixing the problem. They checked the main "box" I was connected to TWICE, my cables, etc. Talagang kinareer nila. I think it finally came down to one of my cables being busted or something. They said it was the first time they encountered that problem. Anyhoot, my connection is fine now and I'm one happy customer. I love SkyDSL customer support. They always arrived 2 hours after I called (then again I live 15 minutes away from their main office) but still, gotta love that kind of response time. I also appreciated the fact that I *think* they knew I'd called 3 times in a span of two days so they escalated my problem to a senior tech guy, hence the 4 guys showing up to fix my problem (1 senior + 3 junior techguys).

So there. I just wanted to share that I was in the same situation as yours but man, you gotta give their customer service a chance. Don't be irate when you call. Be nice. I'm sure there's a solution to your problem.

Cheers!

Maybe next time you call, get the name of the CSRs you talk to. Document what was said and what was promised. Take down the date and time you called. Then start a new thread here and give updates until your issue is addressed.

My experience with BayanTel and SkyDSL's customer service has been topnotch so I can't complain. People have to hear both the good and the bad. I have to give props where it's due.
