Yong akin lang ini-isa isa lang natin yong pweed option na ma-ayos yong problema, before you get to the last option yong pa disconnect

Sorry to break your bubble but I do not exactly know how many do you use to scan your PC. If you use only one, like your real time anti virus, then there is really no guarantee that your PC is not infected. After all, a single antivirus or security program cannot cover all the possible viruses out there. Most authorities on the subject recommend 2 on demand scanners, and one real time program to protect the PC. Add to that other habits you may have in surfing that could compromise the security of your PC. After all, Security Suites like Antiviruses are just tools. It is rather still the owner that gets the PC infected as well as prevent the PC from getting a nasty malware infection.
And lastly, it does not mean that if you have a new PC, it cannot be infected. I am not saying though that your PC is infected. I just wanted to dispel the idea that most people adhere to which is a misnomer actually. Your PC is not really infected unless you just took it out of the box and never has connected it to the internet. That is what is meant by "new".
Xentar does have a pretty good point about looking at all the possibilities where the problem can stem from, not only on the side of Bayan but also from the consumer side.Agnes wrote:bago plang po tong pc ko.nung june pa lng to,kasabay pag paconnect ko ng net.simula tlga nun ganto na to.lagi dc,virus free pc ko everyday nagscan ako.

Agnes, please read my post AGAIN. It seems you overlooked this:Mikos wrote:I am not saying though that your PC is infected. I just wanted to dispel the idea that most people adhere to which is a misnomer actually. I did not say your PC is infected. Please be more careful when you read posts especially the ones coming from me since I do put in a lot of time composing my replies here. Your post here which I am quoting clearly shows you misunderstood my post. Be more careful next time as my reply to your post was with a purpose and that was clearly stated. Please note also that I did not say your PC has a virus. I hope we are clear on this.
That is also a possibility that the problem may stem from the electrical post or from the drop wire. Only a technician can validate that.Agnes wrote:kung may virus toh bkit pag umaga lng ako nagddc?may sched ba pag attack ng virus?????tulad ngaun dc nanaman ng dc.baka kc sa linya ko to sa poste mismo.

I already made a follow up through our Bayan Moderators. I am still waiting for their feedback on this. The other moderators may update your thread anytime they have a feedback on your concern.

Close na po yung last report, much better to call the hotline for fault ticket creation.

I understand the frustration there. But have you checked also if the modem is near any possible interferences. May I know where the modem is currently located right now? I understand that you need the internet fixed. Hopefully the hot line can have this fixed. There are some problems thought that may take time. What is important here is that you keep on updating them that the problem still persist. I know these problems can be solved. I have seen Forumers who have far worse problems and they were patient enough to wait and cooperative enough to keep on reporting the problem. Technology is not perfect. I understand also that we deserve what we pay for. But among the ISPs that I have tried, Bayan is the only one that is responsive enough to their customers in terms of repair, although it does take time for them to fix some hard problems. But that is expected. The Philippines is far from the other countries in terms of technology.

So sorry to hear you decided to leave BayanDSL. But that is your choice. Although I would not recommend it at all since here is no guarantee that the other ISP will be better. Best of luck.
Just bring a valid ID, a letter of intent to have the line disconnected and go to the nearest Bayan Office in your area. Be sure to bring the modem that was provided otherwise they will charge you for that.Agnes wrote:panu po ba mag padisconnect?

Elevated beside your monitor? How far is the modem from the monitor? Can you give me an approximation please. Thank you.
I understand that you need stability. I am just curious at how you have set up things in your house. Part of troubleshooting is knowing also how the devices are placed.Agnes wrote:my modem is elevated beside my monitor.thanks but i have no time for this kind of service.i need a more stable one.these is the worst i have ever experienced..i dont need speed i need stability.anyway 3 mos na po ang net ko lng stability.

Yikes...
Don't you know that monitors emit RF signals that can interfere with the DSL? Specially CRT monitors. LCD and LEDs do emit also such interferences. It is not a good set up to have the modem too close such devices as they can receive a lot of interference. Why not try moving the modem at least 12 inches away from the monitor. Modems do compensate for such interferences initially, however, in the long run, it will wear them out faster.Agnes wrote:about 2 inches away fro the monitor and about 7inches elevated from the table
