deko ma post yong Speedtest sa Quezon, sobrang bagal 30mins na ako nag hintay, tumawag ako sa Business Center, wala raw diyan ang Technincian or Incharge kasi Holiday daw.

I do not know about that. Pero alam ko meron pa din technical support kahit holiday. I am not just sure pagdating sa ibang bagay like yung sa speedtest. I know we do not control the site, only the test server (Quezon City). I am however, able to access the site including the test server. I do not think this is a problem with the site itself or not test server.

Here are my results:



Sir paki tawagan yung technical support hot line (181 from any Bayan Phone). Kasi kung business center yung tinawagan niyo, wala talagang anyone in charge kasi holiday. Ang alam ko lang na exception to the rule are the Business Centers na nasa Mall (like yung mga nasa SM Malls). I know me pasok sila. Better call the support hot line po sir and pa check niyo yung line niyo. Yung hot line lang kasi ang open pag ganitong holiday.

Mukhang hindi capping/shaping ang problem ni beef kundi mababa lang talaga ang nakukuha nyang downspeed. The thing is yun bandwidth na nakukuha nya is still within range of the CIR and kung wala naman sya na-experience na problems with the physical connection possibleng congested talaga sa area nila.

Paki-post po yung speedtest nyo using speedtest.net, using single PC direct connection to the modem. Post ka rin po ng Pingtest and Tracert ng isang website i.e www.yahoo.com. Then lets isolate kung may problem talaga. I've checked your circuit but properly configured naman sya sa 1Mbps Angel

Mod NTF I requested these: ping test, tracerts and speedtest, in the many questions I asked Mr. Beef1234. It seems he did not listen again or perhaps he was too busy to read.

Xaero I have asked him a lot of questions and he failed to address them. It is really rather obvious that capping is not the case yet he continues to insist. Tama ka, it is still within the range of his plan yung speeds sa downloads na nakukuha niya. Looking at his tracerts and ping test, normal ang line niya.

bad trip naman, ang main problem ay 30 to 50 kbps lang ang download ko direct download, yun lang
wag munag sabihin capping, eh ano magagawa natin para mapabilis yung DL speed ko?

Dude, ano muna ang tumatakbo sa PC mo when you start it up? Kasi ako I can download that file in 13-16 average. Here are the pics:

If you noticed halos parehas lang with a very few KB difference.

What starts up in my PC, just my firewall, my AV, my webcam utility, and my sound manager. No other things come up. Of course I have the wireless but I use Windows 7's native wireless client. By the way, I am using Win 7 Ultimate x64. I noticed din kasi na x64 OSes tend to be more efficient in terms of handling data, especially big ones, over a network, like the internet.

With the router, I have set my QoS to prioritize internet and surfing, and video streaming. That means P2P are the least with just 5-10% bandwidth allotted to them. Internet and surfing includes direct downloads. I have also set my PC to be the priority client in the router. This is what I meant earlier to you about checking also the settings in your PC and in your devices. Further, my Firefox is also optimized for speed. Meaning, I have tweaked it so that it has twice the average connections per server, and the max connections increased. I have other tweaks that I have done to the PC to ensure that I get the performance that I wanted. The connection is just half the equation. No matter how good your connection if you do not know how to optimize your rig, then it is also counter productive. No matter how good your rig is if you have a bad connection, it is also counter productive. It has to be a balance of both. I hope you now understand that my questioning you is not out of just mere whim. But rather I am experienced enough to know the difference. The practices I employed worked for me. It may not for you. Check all the possible causes and scenarios and work from there. My only advise, be detailed and scientific in your approach para pag nagkamali ka alam mo pano mag back track.

Beef1234, may I suggest you start your own thread. The discussion will be focusing on your problem already and the essence of the survey thread will be focused on you. Mod NTF can follow us on the new thread you will be starting. I will have to cut the discussion here as we are going to digress already from the over topic of the thread. At least we have seen already the condition of your line through the tracerts and ping tests you submitted here. To further discuss this and to focus on your concern, it would be best if we have our own thread. The issue here may no longer be capping but either something in the line or other things also that we can look into. I will put a link here in this thread to the thread you will start that way those who want to follow it can keep up with it.
