@ALL:

It has come to the attention of the Moderators that many are posting their concerns in the Forum without reporting the problem FIRST to the technical support hot line. Many are expecting that just because it was posted here and a follow up is requested, a follow up can be done concerning the technical issues faced by our Forumers, even if the report is several days old. In line with this, we are issuing these directives:

1) Problems with the DSL/Phone line not reported to the hot line first will be automatically closed.
2) DSL/Phone concerns must now bear the report numbers and the date that it was reported, otherwise the thread will be closed. If the problem is reported to the hot line via phone, it is the responsibility of the Forumer to get the report number from the agent accepting the call, and post the advise given by the hot line. If the problem was reported via email, the Forumer must wait for the reply of the technical support hot line in his email before posting it here. The response can be posted here PROVIDED, it does not contain the name of the Bayan TSR responding and other confidential information. Only the body of the email and the date (of the email) bearing the response is allowed to be posted.
3) Reports must not be more than 2 days old when posting it in the Forum. Beyond that, please conduct the follow up either thru phone or thru email. Post the report numbers anew (if there is a new one generated) or if the same report numbers are still open, please state it so and include the date when it was reported.
3) Posts concerning technical concerns for the DSL/Phone WITHOUT Account numbers shall also be automatically closed.
4) Post concerning the DSL must also contain the set up of the Forumer and other details (example, using a direct modem to PC connection; using a router, etc). Details like what is the status of the DSL light on the modem when the line gets disconnected must also be included, and what has the forumer done so far to resolve the problem. THIS should include the advise given by the technical support hot line.
5) Issues with the slow speeds must also contain speed tests from the official testing server of Bayan: www.speedtest.net with Quezon City as the test server, or speed.skyinet.net.

Please note that BayanDSL or the technical support hot line does not support 3rd party devices like routers or any equipment not coming/not provided by Bayan. Thus, any tests should be done with just the modem connected directly to the PC.

NOT CALLING THE HOT LINE due to the same response being given IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE reason to be posting things in the Forum WITHOUT getting a recent report number from the hot line.

All these directives (except a few implementing details) are all in the Rules. Ignorance of the Forum Rules is not an acceptable reason as that is required to be known by all members in the Forum.

Please take note that opening another (2nd) thread on the same topic (if the initial thread was closed due to non compliance) without complying to the above directives will mean an automatic suspension of the Forumer for no less than 5 days.

Please bear in mind that this is a Forum and follow ups are only applicable provided the relevant data is provided and should be recent. The Forum can only do follow ups. Please set your expectations correctly. The technical support hot line still remains to be the main support arm of BayanDSL.

Thank you.

The Forum is NOT an Online Technical Support.
For your DSL/Phone concerns please call the hot lines FIRST before posting it in the Forum.
This includes requests for port resets, DSL connection footprints (ATT and SNRs), requests for technicians and repairs.
Please read the Bayan Forum Rules.
