i got my bayan extra prepaid phone and sim last november 2011 from a retail store in starmall edsa crossing, got a huawei ets-2555 desktop phone. first i was quite skeptic about it since it's going to be a wireless landline service. btw, had to change from a 'fixed line' service to 'wireless' as i'm renting an apartment here in mandaluyong, and relocation is quite inevitable to me. i'm quite amazed how clear the quality of the line is. it's like talking on a 'fixed line' telephone service & you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. what's best is the call rates. amazingly, bayan extra prepaid only charges 50 cent for the first 6 mins, then goes free for the succeeding minutes, it's like saying '50 cents per call, untimed anytime'. top-ups or re-charge are also very affordable. it has 50, 100, 200, and 300 peso denominations. i do 100 and it lasts me for a month - very practical, specially for a budget-consicous person like me. another good feature of the bayan extra prepaid service is the internet functionality. some handsets, like mine are capable for internet connection, it came with a usb cable which you can readily plug to your computer and surf the net. i'm on dsl service, but had the chance to try it, and i'm also amazed how fast the internet connection was. truly, i can say bayan extra prepaid phone is worth the money you spend for. thanks bayan! i'm looking forward to your upcoming product innovations specially on 'bayan extra prepaid' service. goodluck and more power!
